Is it worth the money?
For the cookie, yes; the wait is the real price. At $7 for almost half a pound it is priced like other gourmet cookie shops, and Disney Tourist Blog expects it to stay popular for years because of the quality.
The sources disagree on how long the wait is. Gideon's own page says Friday to Sunday runs two to five hours through the virtual queue, with the list full by about 7pm. Disney Tourist Blog puts the queue at over an hour and up to 2 hours on busier days, and says Monday to Thursday before the afternoon is often a regular line of 30 minutes or less.
Plan for the longer figure at a weekend, and go on a Tuesday or Thursday morning if you can.

Anyone at Disney Springs on a weekday morning, and cookie lovers willing to plan a return trip around the virtual queue.

Anyone arriving late on a weekend expecting to walk in: the list can be full by about 7pm, and the line is cut before closing.
What is actually good
Cookies are $7 each, on Disney's menu of 13 September 2026: the Original Chocolate Chip, Pistachio Toffee Chocolate Chip, Cookies & Cream (which Gideon's calls its cult cookie), Triple Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter Crunch, plus a monthly limited edition. The Coffee Cake Cookie is sold every morning at Disney Springs, and a Dark Coffee Cake Cookie in the evening. Disney notes the Coffee Cake Cookie used to be sold for only one month a year.
Cake slices are $11: rotating vanilla and chocolate three-layer slices, and double-frosted ones. Gideon's Bites, quartered cookies dipped in chocolate for sharing, are $14. The nitro cold brews, among them the Original Peanut Butter Cold Brew, are $6.50, and a milk is $3.50.
Hot Cookie Hour is the Classic Chocolate Chip straight from the oven, with or without homemade ice cream, from 2pm to 3pm and 7pm to 8pm every day, at $6 to $10.
Portions
Big. Disney describes them as almost half-pound cookies that take over 24 hours to make. Gideon's Bites quarter the cookies for anyone who wants to share or pace themselves.
Allergies and dietary needs
Disney gives no allergy-friendly menu for Gideon's. It is a from-scratch bakery, the Pistachio Toffee and Peanut Butter Crunch cookies contain nuts by name. Disney's menu marks the nitro cold brews vegan, and all but the Cookie Butter Butterscotch gluten-free as well. Ask the staff about anything else.

- No. Gideon's says pre-orders, delivery and shipping are not available at Disney Springs. Pre-orders are only taken at the original store at East End Market in Orlando, about 20 miles away, which opened in October 2016.
