Right now, this site earns nothing
No display advertising. No affiliate links. No sponsored posts. No paid placements. Nobody has given us anything in exchange for coverage. That is the honest state of it today, and this page will change the moment it stops being true.
What we will never do
- Display advertising. It is the single most common complaint about every large site in this category, it makes pages slow on park wifi, and it quietly shapes what gets written. We are not doing it.
- Paid positive coverage. If a resort or restaurant ever comps something, we will say so on the page, and it will not change the verdict.
- Selling your email. We do not run an email list. If we ever start one, it stays ours; the privacy page says what it would hold before a single address is taken.
What we probably will do eventually
Affiliate links for tickets and gear, and possibly a travel-agent referral relationship. That is how the honest sites in this space fund themselves without ads. When it happens:
- It will be disclosed at the top of any page carrying a link, not just here.
- We will not recommend something we would not recommend anyway.
- The “is it worth the money” answer will not change because of it.
