Is it worth the money?
Worth it for the beignets if it is open; less so on a hot day.
Disney Food Blog describes it as seasonally open, with no indoor seating, and suggests the covered alcove on Pecos Bill's patio across the way for somewhere to sit. It also warns that on a hot, crowded day an outdoor line, food in the sun and a hunt for a table add up to a poor lunch — which is when Pecos Bill's air-conditioned rooms next door win.

Beignet fans, anyone wanting a quick fried-chicken lunch in Frontierland, and early arrivals after a cheap breakfast sandwich.

Anyone who needs air conditioning or a seat, vegetarians, and self-described beignet snobs, whom Disney Food Blog tells to skip it.
What is actually good
Hot Honey Chicken with Sweet Potato Fries at $12.99 is the one main, and the order.
The beignets are the draw for most people: Tiana's Famous Beignets at $7.29, or the Banana-Caramel Beignets at $8.79. The Candied Bacon Skewer with Chips is $9.99 and sweet potato waffle fries $5.49 on their own. At breakfast there is a Biscuit Breakfast Sandwich at $7.79.
Disney's own description of the Outpost still mentions fried chicken sandwiches and nuggets. Its menu, read on 12 September 2026, has neither.
