Is it worth the money?
For guacamole, margaritas and a lively dinner, yes — as long as you are not on the Disney dining plan. The critics split on the food.
The case for: DVC Fan, in March 2025, called the guacamole the best it had ever had. It also rated the service among its best at Walt Disney World in recent memory.
The case against: Orlando critic Scott Joseph, in April 2023, found it a "loud, boisterous family restaurant" rather than the upscale room it promised. He found the carnitas under-seasoned and the birria tacos greasy, and did not rank it among the Swan and Dolphin's worthwhile restaurants.
Prices have crept up since it opened. The classic guacamole was $19 in March 2025 and is $20 now; the signature nachos were $16 in April 2023 and are $17.
It is not Disney. Disney's page says Rosa Mexicano takes no Disney dining plan, and no MagicBands, Disney gift cards or Disney dining cards.
Who it’s right for
Groups and families who want a loud, easy dinner with margaritas. Guacamole lovers. Anyone staying at the Swan, Dolphin or Swan Reserve who wants breakfast without leaving the hotel.
Who it’s wrong for
Anyone on the Disney dining plan or paying with a MagicBand. Anyone expecting a quiet or upscale meal. Anyone who wants dessert after dinner — none is listed.
What is actually good
Read from Disney's own menus for Rosa Mexicano on 12 September 2026.
26 dinner mains, $19 to $62, averaging $30.77. Nineteen of the 26 mains are under $35.
- Tacos (three to an order): eight kinds, $19 to $26, averaging $22. - Enchiladas (two to an order): seven kinds, $20 to $31, averaging $26.86. - Fajitas: jackfruit $34, chicken $36, shrimp $40, steak $45. - Signature dishes: a chile relleno at $24, roasted half chicken $31, salmon pipián $32 and a Tampiqueña $42. - Steaks: a 12oz skirt steak at $42, a 10oz New York strip $48, and an 8oz filet $62.
Parrilladas, a sizzling mixed grill to share: $74 for two and $152 for four.
The guacamole is the signature. Disney's menu says it has been made tableside since 1984: $20 for a classic and $34 for a double, with toppings from $4 to $19 for lobster.
Thirteen starters, $13 to $25, averaging $18. Empanadas are $13 and $18, flautas $17, queso fundido $18, ceviche $19, and tuna and lobster taquitos $23 and $25.
Lunch is a little cheaper. The same tacos run $1 to $2 less at lunch than at dinner, and there are tortas from $18 to $25.
Breakfast is a buffet: $29.99 an adult and $19.99 a child, with made-to-order omelets and Mickey waffles, or a continental buffet at $21.99 and $11.99.
The margaritas: a frozen margarita in six flavours, pomegranate among them, is $15 a glass or $63 for a pitcher that serves five. Hand-shaken margaritas run $17 to $21.
Disney's dinner listing has errors. The jackfruit fajitas appear a second time among the tacos at $34; the lunch menu lists jackfruit tacos at $18. No desserts appear on the dinner listing at all.
Disney bands it $$$, "$35 to $59.99 per adult". The mains average of $30.77 is below that band.
Portions
Generous. Tacos come three to an order and enchiladas two, with sides at $9 to $11. A double guacamole feeds a table, and the parrilladas are sized for two or four.
Allergies and dietary needs
Vegetarian choices are real: jackfruit fajitas, mushroom and cheese enchiladas, cauliflower tempura tacos and a chile relleno. Disney's listing prints no allergy-friendly versions. The Dolphin is not Disney, so ask the restaurant directly about allergies.
