The short answer

The Magic of Disney Animation is a new building of animation experiences at Hollywood Studios, opening on 14 September 2026: Olaf Draws!, a drawing class with an Olaf figure; Off the Page!, character meets; Drawn to Wonderland, a children's playground; and the Once Upon a Studio Theater. Disney's pages still place it in Animation Courtyard.

When to ride

We have never recorded this one open. Disney’s feed posts no wait for it, so there is no queue to chart. Why we wait, and the raw numbers.

Early for Olaf Draws!: MickeyBlog reports each class is about 10 minutes with limited seats, run at first from an in-person waitlist at the entrance rather than the app, so the earlier you arrive the better your chance.

What it’s actually like

Off the Page! puts characters in rooms for stages of the animation process — Mulan in the story department, Rapunzel with the multiplane camera, per Disney. Drawn to Wonderland is built on Mary Blair's concept art for Alice in Wonderland.

The disagreement: Disney's Olaf Draws! page says the class is guided by animators' video-recorded tips; MickeyBlog says a real Disney animator gives the directions.

Indoors and gentle throughout: drawing, meeting characters, a playground and a short film.
