Amare
The short answer
Mediterranean cooking at the Swan Reserve, and the most expensive room on Crescent Lake that most people have never heard of. Eight dinner entrées averaged $46.88 in September 2026; six lunch entrées averaged $28.50. No Disney dining plan, no MagicBand charging, no Disney gift cards.

Is it worth the money?
At lunch, easily. At dinner, only if you want this specific food — and if you do, there is nothing else like it on property.
Start with what it costs you to eat here that is not on the bill. Disney's own page carries a warning: "This location does not participate in any of the Disney dining plans and does not accept MagicBands, Disney Gift Cards or any other Disney stored value cards." The Swan Reserve is Marriott-operated, so a dining-plan credit is worth nothing here and a gift card you bought to budget the trip cannot be spent. Bring a real card.
And there is a parking fee at the Swan Reserve, waived only for dinner guests who present the ticket for validation. Lunch does not qualify, at least as Disney words it.
What you get for it is Mediterranean cooking nobody else on property is attempting. Kibbeh nayeh, kataifi-wrapped prawns, chermoula swordfish, three hummus plates as mains — this is not the Disney version of Mediterranean, and the mezze format means a table can eat well without anyone ordering a $45 entrée.
Lunch is the value, and by a wide margin. $28.50 average against $46.88, in the same room, from a kitchen doing the same things. A flatbread at $18 to $20 and two mezze is a genuinely good meal for under $35.
It serves all day, whatever Disney's page says. On 11 September 2026 Disney listed Amare's hours as 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM only, while publishing breakfast and lunch menus. The operator's own page settles it: breakfast 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, lunch 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM, dinner 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Disney's hours listing is the stale one.
It books far more easily than its neighbours, and the dining-plan exclusion is most of the reason: the credit-driven demand that fills the BoardWalk and Yacht Club restaurants never reaches it.
Who it’s right for
Anyone on Crescent Lake who has eaten the Disney menu enough times. Vegetarians, who get a real entrée and five of seven mezze. Groups who would rather share eight small plates than order four big ones. Lunch eaters. And anyone who left a booking too late — this is the table that is still open.
Who it’s wrong for
Anyone on a Disney dining plan, whose credits are worthless here. Anyone budgeting with Disney gift cards. Families with unadventurous children, though there is a kids' menu at $12 to $14. Anyone driving to lunch, who pays to park. And anyone who wants a steakhouse — Bourbon Steak is in the Dolphin next door, though it has been closed since a kitchen fire on 25 June 2026.
What is actually good
Read from Disney's own lunch and dinner menus on 11 September 2026.
Eight dinner entrées, $33 to $85, averaging $46.88. The average is doing less work than usual here: the median is $41, and the $85 Bistecca Alla Brace — a 14oz Black Angus ribeye with preserved-lemon chimichurri and Point Reyes blue cheese — drags the mean up by nearly six dollars on its own. It is a single portion, not a sharing steak, so it stays in the count.
The rest of the list: Romesco Chicken $33, Smoked Eggplant Milanese $34, Braised Lamb Cappelletti $38, Grilled Souvlaki $40, Swordfish Chermoula $42, New England Diver Scallops $45, and a Seabass Al Cartoccio at $58 that is two filets of striped bass steamed in a parchment pouch.
The hummus plates are the menu's escape hatch, $26 to $32. Chickpea hummus topped with braised lamb $32, Israeli fried chicken $28 or foul mudammas $26, each served with house-made pita. A hummus plate and two mezze feeds one person properly for under $45.
Seven mezze, $6 to $12 — green mango salad and pickled garden vegetables at $6, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, brussel sprouts and citrus-marinated olives at $8, grilled asparagus $12. Seven dinner appetisers $19 to $24, including Kataifi Tiger Prawns at $22 and the signature Ishkabubble Bread at $19.
Lunch is a different menu and $18.38 a head cheaper on the entrées. Six lunch entrées ran $19 to $40, averaging $28.50 — a Turkey Club at $19, a Grilled Angus Burger at $20, a Mahi Mahi Sandwich at $21, three flatbreads $18 to $20. Both menus list a "Bistecca", and they are not the same dish: the $33 lunch version is a cast-iron seared skirt steak, the $85 dinner version a 14oz ribeye. Two dishes genuinely do cross over at the same price — Braised Lamb Cappelletti $38 and Grilled Souvlaki $40.
Disney bands dinner $$$ ($35 to $59.99) and lunch $$. The dinner average of $46.88 sits inside the band, with two entrées below it and one above.
Portions
Composed plates rather than piles, which is unusual on Disney property and is the reason the mezze exist. The intended shape of the meal is several small things and one large one: two or three mezze at $6 to $12 across the table, then an entrée. Ordering the way you would at a Disney signature — appetiser, entrée, dessert, one each — costs more and delivers less.
Allergies and dietary needs
One of the strongest vegetarian menus on Crescent Lake, and it is not an afterthought. Smoked Eggplant Milanese at $34 is a full entrée; Falafel $19 and Chickpea Socca $23 anchor the appetisers; foul mudammas hummus at $26 is a main-sized plate; and of the seven mezze, five are vegetable dishes at $6 to $12. Vegans should ask about the garlic yogurt and ricotta, which turn up across the menu. Shellfish appears in the prawns, calamari and scallops. Kibbeh Nayeh at $21 is raw.
Disney publishes one of its seven allergen menus for this location — egg — listing 7 allergen-friendly items from $16.00 to $25.00, read 16 September 2026. That is a menu you can check before you travel. Most locations have none, and there the conversation happens at the counter: see our food allergy guide.
