Be Our Guest Restaurant
The short answer
Be Our Guest is inside the Beast's castle in Fantasyland, serving a prix fixe French-inspired dinner in three themed rooms. It is the most atmospheric restaurant in Magic Kingdom, and the room you are seated in changes the meal considerably.

Is it worth the money?
For the room, yes; for the food, not really. You are paying roughly $72 for three competent courses in the most convincingly themed dining room at Walt Disney World, and the ballroom with its falling snow is special. Ask for the ballroom when you check in — the West Wing is darker and unsettles some children, and the Rose Gallery is the least interesting of the three.
Who it’s right for
Anyone for whom eating inside the Beast’s castle is the point, and families with children who have watched the film recently. The three dining rooms are the most convincing interiors Disney has built, and the West Wing in particular does something no other restaurant on property attempts.
Who it’s wrong for
Anyone booking for the food. Roughly $72 buys three competent courses you would not travel for, and the prix fixe removes the option of eating lightly. If your party is not moved by the room, you are paying signature money for a themed dining room.
What is actually good
Prix fixe at $72 per adult and $43 per child aged 3 to 9, plus tax and gratuity, for three courses. The filet and the short rib bourguignon are the strongest mains. Enhancements are charged on top — sautéed shrimp or double-smoked bacon at $10 each, Roquefort fondue at $6. The grey stuff is a dessert choice, not an extra.
Portions
Prix fixe portions are moderate, not generous — this is a three-course meal, not a feast, and it costs considerably more than the quantity suggests.
Allergies and dietary needs
Allergy-friendly options are prepared to order and a chef will visit the table. The prix fixe format makes substitutions easier than at a buffet.
Common questions
- Which room is best at Be Our Guest?
- The ballroom, with its enchanted windows and falling snow. The West Wing is dramatic but dark and unsettles some small children, and the Rose Gallery is the plainest. You can ask at check-in — it is not guaranteed but it is often accommodated.
- Is Be Our Guest worth the money?
- For the setting rather than the food. Three prix fixe courses at around $72 a head is expensive for what arrives, but the ballroom is the best themed dining room at Walt Disney World and the reason almost everyone books.
- Does the Beast appear at Be Our Guest?
- He walks through the dining rooms once during dinner and that is the whole of it. Guests stay seated while he passes, so there is no meet, no autograph and no photograph with him. Before 2020 he did meet guests after the meal for photos and autographs, and Disney has tested bringing that back, which is why a great deal of what you will read still promises a picture. It is not running. The keepsake instead is an autograph postcard handed out during the meal.
- What is the grey stuff?
- A small piped dessert garnish, cookies-and-cream flavoured, served on the dessert trio. It is delicious and it is tiny — children who have spent weeks looking forward to it are often surprised by the size.
