Table service
Chefs de France
The short answer
The brasserie on the France pavilion promenade at EPCOT, and the best-value proper French cooking in World Showcase. Adult dinner entrées $26.95 to $55.95 in September 2026, averaging $39.06. Bright, glass-walled and busy — the opposite of San Angel Inn across the lake, and the room to pick if you want to watch the promenade rather than hide from it.

Is it worth the money?
Yes, and it is the World Showcase table-service booking that most reliably delivers what it promises.
Disney describes it as a family-friendly brasserie with views of the promenade, and that is exactly what it is — high ceilings, mosaic floor, big windows onto the walkway. The cooking is competent classical French rather than ambitious, and the menu is priced where that belongs. At an average of $39.06 for an entrée it is not cheap, but it is in line with what EPCOT charges for considerably less interesting food.
Pick your room. This is the bright, busy, glass-walled one on the promenade. If you want the dark, quiet, hide-from-Florida option, that is San Angel Inn across the lake. People book one expecting the other and are disappointed by a restaurant that was never trying to be that.
Lunch runs 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and dinner 4:00 PM to 8:55 PM, and lunch generally costs less for the same kitchen.
Who it’s right for
Anyone who wants real French cooking without the signature-restaurant price or the booking fight. Vegetarians, who get two genuine entrées and the two cheapest seats on the menu. People-watchers — the promenade windows are the point. Anyone wanting a proper meal in World Showcase that is not a festival kiosk.
Who it’s wrong for
Anyone after a quiet, atmospheric dinner; this is a bright, loud brasserie with a view of a footpath. Anyone budgeting from Disney's $15 to $34.99 band — seven of the nine entrées cost more than $34.99. And anyone expecting the cooking to justify the Steak Frites at $55.95, which is the one dish on the menu priced above what it delivers.
What is actually good
Read from Disney's own dinner menu on 10 September 2026.
Nine adult entrées, $26.95 to $55.95, averaging $39.06. Gratin de macaroni $26.95 and Ratatouille Provençale $28.95 are the two under $30. Then Filet de saumon $38.95, and a block of four at $39.95 — Fruits de la Mer, Jarret de Porc Braisé with lentils, Poulet au Vinaigre, and Boeuf Bourguignon. A cheese and charcuterie plate at $40.95, and Steak Frites with grilled entrecôte at $55.95, which is the priciest thing on the menu.
Starters $12.95 to $18.95: a seasonal salad at $12.95, soupe à l'oignon gratinée $13.95, beetroot and fresh goat's cheese $15.95, escargots de Bourgogne $17.95, smoked salmon blinis $18.95. Desserts are flat at $13.95 to $14.95 — crème brûlée $13.95, a three-chocolate gateau $14.95, iced nougat with candied orange $13.95, a strawberry macaron $13.95, and a baba $14.95.
Disney's own price band on this restaurant's page reads "$$ ($15 to $34.99 per adult)", and seven of the nine entrées cost more than $34.99, the top of it. The band is one of four fixed tiers rather than a measurement of this menu; on the evidence here it is one tier too low. Budget from the menu, not from the symbol.
Portions
Brasserie-sized and honest. The $39.95 block — bourguignon, pork shank, chicken — arrives as a full plate with its own garnish and nobody leaves hungry. Steak Frites at $55.95 is the one where the price runs ahead of the plate. Starters are large enough to share, and the desserts at a flat $13.95 to $14.95 are single portions rather than the shareable towers elsewhere in World Showcase.
Allergies and dietary needs
Two vegetarian entrées on the printed menu — the macaroni gratin at $26.95 and the ratatouille at $28.95 — which at $27 to $29 also happen to be the two cheapest things you can order. That is unusually good for World Showcase, where the vegetarian option is often an improvisation. Dairy and gluten run through most of the rest, as they do in any brasserie, and allergies go through Disney's standard chef-to-table process.
Common questions
- How much does Chefs de France cost?
- Adult dinner entrées ran $26.95 to $55.95 on Disney's own menu in September 2026, averaging $39.06. Starters are $12.95 to $18.95 and desserts a flat $13.95 to $14.95. A starter, an entrée and a dessert lands near $70 before drinks and tip.
- Why is Disney's price range wrong for Chefs de France?
- Disney lists it as "$$ ($15 to $34.99 per adult)", but that is one of four fixed tiers rather than a reading of the menu, and seven of the nine entrées cost more than $34.99. The restaurant belongs a tier higher. Always price a meal from the menu page.
- Is Chefs de France good for vegetarians?
- Unusually good for World Showcase. Two vegetarian entrées are on the printed menu rather than made up on request — a macaroni gratin at $26.95 and a ratatouille at $28.95 — and both are cheaper than every other entrée.
- What is the difference between Chefs de France and the restaurant upstairs?
- Chefs de France is the ground-floor brasserie on the promenade, bright and glass-walled, taking walk-in-scale bookings. The upstairs room in the same pavilion is the small fine-dining operation and is a separate reservation at a very different price.
