Table service
Sanaa
The short answer
Sanaa is at Animal Kingdom Lodge's Kidani Village, and the tables look out over a savanna with giraffes and zebra grazing outside the window. The Indian-influenced African food is the best value at any deluxe resort, and the bread service is the thing people talk about.

Is it worth the money?
Yes, and it is the best-value table service at any deluxe resort. Around $48 a head for good food with a savanna view is better than several restaurants costing twice that. Ask for a window table when booking and again at check-in — the view is the reason to come and the interior tables do not have it. Lunch has the better light for seeing animals; dinner has the better atmosphere.
Who it’s right for
Anyone who wants the best-value table service at a deluxe resort, and animal watchers — the savanna is visible from the dining room. The bread service is the reason most people return, and it works as a light meal on its own.
Who it’s wrong for
Anyone in a hurry, because Kidani Village is a genuine journey from every park and there is no quick route back. Very plain eaters will find the Indian-influenced menu harder work than the resort’s other restaurants.
What is actually good
À la carte. Order the Indian-style bread service at $23 — five breads and nine accompaniments, and the dish people come back for. Samosas are $11, the lamb kefta $16, the seasonal salad $13 and the soup $10. Bread service plus a main runs to about $48 a head before drinks.
Portions
The bread service alone will feed two people as a starter. Mains are generous and the shareable format works well for a family.
Allergies and dietary needs
Strong, and the menu is naturally accommodating — a large share of the dishes are vegetarian or easily made so, which is rare at Walt Disney World.
Common questions
- Can you see animals from Sanaa?
- Yes — the dining room faces a savanna with giraffes, zebra and other species grazing outside. Ask for a window table when booking and again on arrival; interior tables have no view and the view is most of the reason to come.
- What is the bread service at Sanaa?
- Indian-style breads served with nine accompaniments — chutneys, raitas and sauces. It is the most consistently recommended dish at any Walt Disney World restaurant and it will comfortably feed two people as a starter.
- Is Sanaa worth the trip?
- Yes. At around $48 a head it is the best value table service at any deluxe resort, the food is good, not good-for-Disney, and the savanna view is unique. It is a long bus ride from most places, which is the only real drawback.
- Lunch or dinner at Sanaa?
- Lunch for the animals — daylight makes the savanna far more visible and the animals are more active. Dinner for the atmosphere, with the room lit low and the savanna floodlit. Both serve the bread service.
