The short answer

The Old West music hall in Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom. Is it worth the money?

Too early to say, and we won't guess. Here is what is known.

It is temporary. Disney calls it a limited-time, pop-up dining experience, starting 4 October 2026, and says to check back on 29 September to book.

Disney's own pages disagree on the dining plan. The pop-up's page marks it "Dining Plan Meals Not Accepted". Disney's main listing for The Diamond Horseshoe still tags it for the 2026 and 2027 table-service plans, as it did for the old family-style meal. Until Disney settles it, assume the pop-up is not on the plan.

The early verdict is lukewarm. Disney Tourist Blog's Tom Bricker wrote that there is nothing about the pop-up menu that excites him. He also called it an improvement on the building's past use as Liberty Tree Tavern overflow.

If you wanted the old feast, it is still served at Liberty Tree Tavern across Liberty Square — $45 an adult and $24 a child when we checked on 9 September 2026.

Who it’s right for

Adults and families who want a sit-down drink and a snack in Magic Kingdom rather than a full meal, from 4 October 2026.

Who it’s wrong for

Anyone counting on the Disney dining plan until Disney settles it. Anyone who wanted the family-style turkey dinner — go to Liberty Tree Tavern.

What is actually good

What is changing. Until 16 May 2026, The Diamond Horseshoe served the same family-style feast as Liberty Tree Tavern under different names, per TouringPlans. From 24 May to 8 September it hosted Jessie's Roundup, a show and dance party for Cool Kids' Summer. Disney's page still describes that meal — turkey, pot roast and pork with sides, then toffee cake — and its dinner menu still lists it at $45 an adult and $24 a child aged 3 to 9. It is not what reopens.

The pop-up menu, as announced by Disney and reported by Disney Tourist Blog on 31 August 2026, is small plates to share: charcuterie, glazed sticky ribs with cowboy beans, queso fundido with barbecue burnt ends, sweet corn fritters with cilantro ranch and red chili honey, a chipotle chicken tostada, and a mini hot dog platter. Drinks include five cocktails — among them the High Plains Huckleberry and a Coal'd Fashioned — a seasonal cocktail, four non-alcoholic specialty drinks, three wines and three draft beers.

No prices yet. Neither Disney's page nor the outlets reporting the menu gave prices as of 12 September 2026. We will add them when Disney publishes the menu.
