Is it worth the money?
For the room and the band, yes. For the food alone, not especially. That is what reviewers say.
The live music is the draw. Disney by Mark, reviewing on 6 August 2026, found a band playing lounge covers roughly every 30 minutes. It wasn't too loud for conversation, and it was the best part of the evening. The food "isn't anything that has blown us away": a one-note cocktail, a pretzel short on dip, and a $25.50 burger that felt steep.
Book ahead — Disney says it takes no same-day bookings. There is a weekday happy hour, 3:00 to 6:00 PM Monday to Friday, per The Edison's own site.
Late nights are for adults. Undercover Tourist reported after the 2018 opening that The Edison becomes 21 and over after 10 PM. Neither Disney's page nor The Edison's own site states an age policy today. If you have children with you, go for lunch or an early dinner and check with the restaurant before planning a late one.
The kitchen closes before the bar. The Edison's own site lists dinner from 4:30 to 9:00 PM, with the venue open to 11:00 PM (11:30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays). Disney lists the whole day from 11:30 AM to 11:00 PM.
The 2027 dining plan is not confirmed. Disney's own listing tags The Edison for the 2026 table-service plan but not yet 2027, and Disney Food Blog's 2027 list agrees. Its Disney restaurant page links only to discounts, not dining plans.
