Is it worth the money?
Yes, and it is one of the few places at Walt Disney World where the answer is unambiguous. $10.50 buys the original affogato from a family that has made gelato in Florence since 1932.
The affogato specifically is the order — the espresso cuts the sweetness in a way none of the other Disney Springs desserts manage, and it is the reason the queue exists. Annual passholders get 10% off, which is unusual at Disney Springs.
Who it’s right for
Adults who want a real coffee and dessert rather than a novelty, and anyone who has been to Florence and misses it. It also works as the last stop of a Disney Springs evening — it is open late, the queue moves, and it does not need a reservation when everything else at The Landing does.
Who it’s wrong for
Anyone wanting a large American-style dessert; the portions are Italian and the prices are Disney Springs. Families needing seating will struggle, since there is very little of it. And anyone expecting soft-serve ice cream will find gelato denser and less sweet, which is the point but not always what a child wants.
What is actually good
The affogato is the reason to come: gelato drowned in a shot of hot espresso. The Original, with crema gelato, is $10.50. Pistachio, Cannoli and Pumpkin Spice are $11.50, Biscoff is $11, and a Shaken Affogato over ice is $11.50. The flavours rotate with the season. In January 2026 Melissa found peppermint and strawberry; by September pumpkin spice had arrived.
Disney lists 20 gelato flavours and seven sorbettos, one of them a vegan vanilla gelato. A one-scoop cup is $7.95, two scoops $9.95 and a kids' cup $6.95. A waffle cone adds $2 and toppings $1.50. The affogato cart in the Marketplace, between World of Disney and Ghirardelli, sells the affogato to go, or in a porcelain cup at the tables just behind it. Disney's dining list does not show the cart separately, so check it is there before you walk over.
Portions
Small by American standards and correct by Italian ones. A single scoop is a genuine portion rather than a taster, and two scoops defeats most people after a meal. The kids' cup at $6.95 is barely less gelato than the one-scoop.
Allergies and dietary needs
Sorbetto is the dairy-free option and there are usually several flavours of it. Gluten-free cones are not a given, so a cup is the safer order. As a quick-service counter there is no chef consultation as there would be at a table-service restaurant — check at the counter, not assuming.
