What is free on Disney cruise room service, and what costs extra?

The food is free and most drinks are not. Disney's own page says room service runs 24 hours a day "with many items included in the price of your cruise". The split below is the Disney Destiny's menu as photographed on board on 20 November 2025 and published by the Disney Cruise Line Blog, which keeps every version.

Did Disney cruise room service drink prices go up?

Yes, in the second half of 2025. The Disney Cruise Line Blog dates each menu it photographs, so the same items can be compared across sister ships a year apart.

The coffee rise had reached the Wish by July 2025; the beer rise appears only on the Destiny's November menu. These are three ships of one class, so a gap could be a ship difference rather than a date. Your ship's current prices are in the Navigator app.

Why does the Disney Adventure charge for room service?

Reportedly, because it could not keep up. From the week of 1 June 2026, room service orders on the Singapore-based Disney Adventure carry a $5 service charge and an automatic 18% gratuity. Breakfast ordered on the door hanger and orders from concierge guests are exempt.

Disney has not announced it. Deep Arrival said in June that the fee was shared with guests but not formally announced, and the Adventure was the only ship missing from Disney's room service page.² Cruise Hive quoted reports of waits "well over an hour" and too few delivery crew.

DISboards reaction was split. Some posters feared the charge would spread to the rest of the fleet; others said the Adventure was a different ship from the rest. It carries up to 6,700 guests against the Wish's 4,000, according to our ship pages.

One suggested more guests were ordering in because the main restaurants were crowded.

What is on the Disney Adventure's room service menu?

A different menu from the other seven ships. The version the Disney Cruise Line Blog photographed on 4 March 2026 keeps the cheese plate, cheeseburger, chicken tenders, penne bolognese and salmon salad, and adds dishes for its Singapore market: dan-dan noodles with ground pork, dal makhani with paratha, chicken wonton noodle soup and an Indian tomato soup with basmati rice.

The drinks list is regional too, with Tiger lager and Jing-A beers at $7.75 and a short sake list. That menu predates the fee, and the fee sits on top of it.

How does Disney compare with other cruise lines on room service?

Free food at any hour is still unusual. Most big lines now charge a delivery fee per order.

Royal Caribbean's figure is from its own FAQ; the rest are Ready Go Cruise's August 2026 comparison. The Adventure's fee is built exactly like Royal Caribbean's: a flat charge, an automatic 18% and a free breakfast card.

How do you order room service on a Disney cruise, and when does it stop?

Press the room service button on your stateroom phone. The full menu is in the Navigator app, TouringPlans says, and non-breakfast orders usually arrive within 20 to 30 minutes, though that timing dates from 2022.

Breakfast can be ordered the night before. A door hanger in the desk drawer lists continental items: coffee, tea, juice, cereal, fruit and pastries. Tick what you want and a delivery window, and hang it outside by 3:00 a.m.¹² It is free on every ship, the Adventure included.

We use it on nearly every cruise, mostly to have coffee in the room before going out to breakfast; on the Treasure the card was in the desk drawer, as DCL Fan describes.

The last night is the exception. There is no room service on the morning you leave the ship.¹² The cut-off is 1:30 a.m.⁶ that morning and says concierge guests can often still order breakfast. Both agree you should not plan on it.

How much should you tip for Disney cruise room service?

Room service tips are not covered by the gratuities you prepay. DCL Fan says the delivery crew are not part of your regular serving team, and the Disney Cruise Line Blog's copies of the menu print "gratuity not included".

Most people leave at least $5.⁵ In a DISboards thread from March 2025, regulars described a dollar or so per item and more for a full tray, and several said they keep small bills by the door. You can also write a tip on the receipt, which goes on your onboard account.

On the Disney Adventure, the reported 18% is added for you, and drinks ordered on any ship already carry Disney's 18% bar gratuity.
