Is the Rainforest Room worth it on a Disney cruise? Prices by ship, what is inside, and how to get a pass

What is the Rainforest Room?

The adults-only thermal suite inside Senses Spa: steam rooms, a sauna, themed showers, hot tubs on the bigger ships, and the heated stone loungers people come back for. Disney describes rainforest-themed aromatherapy steam rooms and a dry sauna fashioned after a Roman bath.

Entry takes a separate pass, sold by the day or for the whole cruise, and the spa is for guests 18 and over.

The massage rooms and salon are the rest of the spa. The locker-room showers are open to anyone, even without a pass.³

How much is a Rainforest Room pass on each ship?

Disney publishes no fleet price; it varies by ship and cruise length. The most recent figures, per person:

The Dream, Destiny, Wish and seven-night Treasure prices are EverythingMouse's, from January 2026; the Treasure's $79 day pass and "about $339" come from Disney's planDisney panel in April 2025. Eat Sleep Cruise paid the same $99 on a four-night Dream cruise in April 2024.

We found no current price for the Magic, Wonder or Fantasy. The Disney Adventure is not on Disney's list of Senses Spa ships, and we could not confirm what its spa charges.

The gratuity is unsettled. Disney's spa page says an 18% gratuity is added to all spa services. It used to be added to the Rainforest pass but no longer seems to be.³ Check the price you are quoted.

Which ship has the best Rainforest Room?

Dream and Fantasy are the favourite, and the cheapest. Eat Sleep Cruise counted three steam rooms, 10 heated loungers, four themed showers and two hot tubs on the Dream. EverythingMouse notes the loungers look out over the ocean, and the hot tubs sit in a partly open-air area over the front of the ship, though she finds their shape uncomfortable.

Wish, Treasure and Destiny are the same design as each other, and the only ones truly open to the sky, with two hot tubs, a sauna and curtained loungers. They cost two to three times as much per day.

Magic and Wonder have the smallest: fully indoors, with two steam rooms.³ She says she has stopped buying the pass on those two ships unless a day pass is on offer.

How do you get a Rainforest Room pass?

Whole-cruise passes are sometimes on sale in the Navigator app once your booking window opens, according to planDisney. Buy one then if you are sure. A TouringPlans forum member stayed up until midnight for their window to get one, and a commenter on EverythingMouse found the passes for their sailing already sold out.

Day passes are sold only on board and are limited. planDisney suggests checking at Senses Spa after 1:00pm on embarkation day. Dixie Delights found sea days sell out quickly while port days are easier.

Take your key card. Eat Sleep Cruise found in 2024 that a MagicBand+ did not work at the spa desk. Wear a swimsuit; the spa provides a robe, and the area is mixed.

Is the Rainforest Room worth it?

How often you will go decides it. On the Dream, $99 over four nights is about $25 a visit if you go daily, which is why Eat Sleep Cruise called it worth it after using it on three of four days and never finding it crowded.

At $59.75 a day on a four-night Wish cruise, you need to use it almost every day to get your money's worth. EverythingMouse, who usually buys the pass, finds that hard on the Wish because there is so much else to do.

Worth it: sea-day-heavy cruises, the Dream and Fantasy, couples who will go most afternoons. Probably not: port-intensive cruises, the Magic and Wonder, or anyone who would go once. That is the day pass.
