What accessibility services does Disney World offer?

Disney groups its services on one Guests with Disabilities page. In brief:

Which Disney World rides can you do without leaving a wheelchair?

Sixteen of the 49 rides in our records, by Disney's own labels, which we checked between 10 and 13 September 2026:

Hollywood Studios is the hard park: Toy Story Mania! is its only ride with a wheelchair-accessible vehicle. Two Magic Kingdom rides, Peter Pan's Flight and the PeopleMover, need guests to be able to walk onto a moving platform.

Many rides with an accessible vehicle take a wheelchair but not an ECV, so an ECV user transfers to a wheelchair first; our wheelchair guide lists which.

What does Disney World offer guests who are Deaf or hard of hearing?

Three things. The Disney Handheld Device provides assistive listening and handheld captioning at the attractions that support them, Disney says; video captioning appears on screens at others. And American Sign Language interpreters work select shows and attractions on a rotating schedule:

• Magic Kingdom — Mondays and Thursdays
• Hollywood Studios — Sundays and Wednesdays
• EPCOT — Fridays
• Animal Kingdom — Tuesdays and Saturdays

In our records, handheld captioning covers 41 attractions (17 at Magic Kingdom, 12 at EPCOT, 8 at Hollywood Studios, 4 at Animal Kingdom), assistive listening 24 and video captioning 11. Six carry Disney's sign-language label, among them Festival of the Lion King, Indiana Jones and the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor.

What does Disney World offer guests who are blind or have low vision?

Audio description, through the same handheld device, narrates what is happening on rides and in shows. In our records it covers 37 attractions: 13 each at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, 6 at Hollywood Studios and 5 at Animal Kingdom. The per-park guides for guests with disabilities, available at Guest Relations, list which attractions support it.

Which rides can service animals not go on?

Disney welcomes trained service dogs and miniature horses throughout the parks, but not on 22 attractions, its service-animal page lists. By park, six at Magic Kingdom: The Barnstormer, Peter Pan's Flight, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, Tiana's Bayou Adventure and TRON. Four at EPCOT: Guardians of the Galaxy, Mission: SPACE, Test Track and Soarin', which the page still calls Soarin' Around the World.

Seven at Hollywood Studios, meaning every thrill ride plus Alien Swirling Saucers and Star Tours. Five at Animal Kingdom: Flight of Passage, Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, Jumping Junction and the Maharajah Jungle Trek aviary.

At those, Rider Switch or a portable kennel lets one person ride while another stays with the animal. Emotional support animals are not permitted in the parks, only at pet-friendly Disney hotels, and service animals must stay out of water and more than four feet from pool edges.

What medical support is there in the parks?

Each park has a First Aid centre, open during park hours and staffed by healthcare professionals, with over-the-counter medicines, bandages and incontinence products; it will also store medical devices, and guests may keep spare oxygen there, Disney says. AdventHealth provides the parks' guest health services, including urgent care and video consultations.

Disney's restaurants take allergy and dietary requests, and some let you speak with a chef. Disney's page also warns that strobe and other lighting effects are too widespread and changeable to list, so guests with photosensitive conditions should take medical advice before visiting.
