The short answer
All-Star Movies is the newest and best-liked of the three All-Stars, from about $153 a night in 2026. The theming — Toy Story, 101 Dalmatians, Fantasia — lands better with small children than sports equipment does, and the resort is compact enough that no room is a long walk from the buses.

We haven’t timed this resort yet. A door-to-gate time goes here once we have walked the route with a stopwatch at least five times — a single reading hides the variation that actually makes people miss a breakfast reservation. How we measure.
What it costs

Who it’s right for
Families with young children who want the lowest on-site price and will be out all day. The Toy Story and 101 Dalmatians courtyards are the best value-resort theming Disney has, and small children respond to them.
Who it’s wrong for
Parties of five, who have no option here — All-Star Music's family suites are the answer. Also wrong for anyone who wants a table-service restaurant, the Skyliner, or a quiet resort day: this is a value resort with everything that implies, and it is closer to Animal Kingdom than to anything else.
Is it worth the money?
The best of the three on nearly every axis for a few dollars more — newer rooms, shorter walks, and theming that a five-year-old will actually recognise. If you are choosing between the All-Stars and the difference is under $20 a night, choose Movies.

What the rooms are actually like
Identical in size and layout to the other All-Stars: two queens or one king, 260 square feet, hard floors, a small table and a mini-fridge. The refurbishment left these rooms feeling noticeably newer than the Sports and Music standard rooms.

Which room should you request?
The All-Stars are three storeys with exterior walkways, so your door opens onto a balcony everyone walks along. Rooms facing a courtyard pool hear it from early morning until close; rooms in the buildings furthest from the food court are quieter and cost a long walk instead.
Ask for a top floor — nobody walks above you. Movies is the most compact of the three, so the walk from the furthest building is shorter than at Sports or Music, which matters more than it sounds at the end of a park day.

Fully refurbished rooms, completed most recently of the three All-Stars, with the current queen-bed and hard-floor layout throughout.
Working from here
poor
A small table, a chair not designed for sitting at, and wifi that struggles when the resort is full. Fine for email in the evening; bad for a working day. If you need to work, the food court seating at 9am is better than the room, and a moderate resort is better than both.

- Which All-Star resort is best?
- All-Star Movies for most families — newest rooms, shortest walks, and theming young children recognise. All-Star Music if you need a family suite for five or six. All-Star Sports mainly if it is cheaper on your dates, which it usually is by a few dollars.
- How much is All-Star Movies per night?
- From about $153 in the cheapest 2026 season to $305 over Christmas, rack rate including 13.5% tax. Passholder and Florida-resident discounts of 20–30% appear regularly.
- Does All-Star Movies have a slide at the pool?
- No. None of the three All-Star resorts has a pool slide — that is a moderate-resort feature. The Fantasia pool is large and lively; the Duck Pond pool is the quiet one.
- How far is All-Star Movies from the parks?
- Buses are the only Disney transport, and Animal Kingdom is the nearest park. We have not yet timed the routes door to gate, and we do not publish transport times until we have measured them at least five times — most sites quote Disney's estimate.
