First thing only. They typically stop running by late morning and do not return, so a plan to ride one in the afternoon will fail. There is rarely any queue at all before 10am.

What boarding is like

Transfer required and the step up is high on most vehicles. The vehicles do not accommodate wheelchairs.

Slow, short and entirely gentle. No drops and nothing enclosed. The horse-drawn trolley is the calmest ride in the park.

What are the Main Street Vehicles?

A horse-drawn trolley, a fire engine, a jitney and an omnibus that run one way along Main Street between Town Square and the hub. They are a short ride rather than a tour — a few minutes, and only in the direction of the castle.

When do the Main Street Vehicles run?

Mornings only, as a rule, and they stop well before the afternoon. They also stop for parades and in bad weather. If riding one matters to a child, do it in the first couple of hours rather than planning it for later.

Can you use a wheelchair on the Main Street Vehicles?

No — Disney lists a required transfer, and the step up into the vehicles is high. The horse-drawn trolley is the hardest of them to board.

Are the Main Street Vehicles worth riding?

As a novelty in the first hour, yes — it is a few minutes, it saves a walk up Main Street, and children like the horse. It is not worth waiting for, and it is not a way to get anywhere, since it only runs towards the castle.
