The short answer

The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure is a 20-minute retelling of the film in Hollywood Studios' Studio Theater, with live performers, puppets and an Ursula figure. It opened in 2025 and runs many times a day. Disney's page still places it in Animation Courtyard, the area rebuilt as the Walt Disney Studios Lot in May 2026.

Disney's description promises Part of Your World, Under the Sea, Poor Unfortunate Souls and Kiss the Girl, with new sets and effects. Wandering in Disney was impressed by the puppeteering; Sunshine Whispers calls it a lovely feel-good show and ranks it 28th of 46.

You sit throughout. Ursula is a large animated figure.
