Not from 2 November 2026: Disney's page says it closes for routine refurbishment then and expects it back in December 2026. Otherwise: First thing, or the last hour. It holds a long wait through the middle of the day and the queue is largely outdoors and hot.

Its average posted wait was 24 minutes in 2024 and 35 in 2025–26 — up 46%. That is the 4th-longest average queue of the 31 attractions Queue-Times tracks at Magic Kingdom.

What boarding is like

Transfer into the log is required and the step is significant. One large drop.

What it’s actually like

Slow through most of its length with several small dips, then a single five-storey drop near the end. The drop is steep and taken in daylight, so there is no hiding it. Loud in places. The animatronics are the best in the park and children spend the ride looking at them, not worrying.

Five storeys, near the end, and steep. Unlike most big drops it is taken in daylight, so there is no hiding what is coming — which some children find reassuring and others find worse. The rest of the ride is slow with several small dips.

Yes, and how wet depends on where you sit and who else is aboard. It is a log flume with a five-storey drop; front seats take the most. Plan it around the rest of the day rather than immediately before a table-service reservation.

First thing or the last hour. It averaged 35 minutes in 2025–26 but peaks at 60 — one of the widest gaps at Magic Kingdom — so the timing matters more here than the pass does. The queue is also largely outdoors, which counts in July.

Yes, as a Tier 1 selection at Magic Kingdom alongside Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan's Flight and Space Mountain. Given the wide gap between its average and its peak, riding it early is often better value than spending the Tier 1 slot on it.
