It is a Single Pass ride most days, so the honest options are paying for it, queueing at rope drop, or the last hour. The posted wait rarely falls below 40 minutes in between.

How the queue has changed

Its average posted wait has barely moved: 65 minutes in 2023, 63 in 2025–26. That is the longest average queue of the 31 attractions Queue-Times tracks at Magic Kingdom.

Is it accessible?

What boarding is like

Transfer required, and the standard seating is a straddled motorbike position. Accessible seating exists but must be requested at the queue entrance, not at the platform.

What it’s actually like

Very fast, with a hard launch and sustained speed, not drops. You ride leaning forward on a motorbike-style seat with a back brace, which is the part people underestimate — it is a strain on the lower back and awkward for larger bodies. No inversions. There is a small number of conventional seats available on request.

How tall do you have to be for TRON Lightcycle / Run?

48 inches, the highest at Magic Kingdom — Space Mountain is 44 and Big Thunder Mountain 38 — and matched in the four theme parks only by Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. There is no way around it — Rider Switch lets one adult wait with a child who cannot ride and swap without queueing again.

Is TRON scary?

Fast rather than frightening. There is a hard launch and sustained speed but no drops and no inversions, and it lasts about two minutes. The part that catches people out is the posture: you lean forward on a motorbike-style seat with a back brace across your shoulders, which is more confining than the speed.

How long is the wait for TRON?

It had the longest queue at Magic Kingdom in 2025–26: an average posted wait of 63 minutes and an average daily peak of 95, against 47 for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Over Queue-Times' whole record, which starts in 2014, Seven Dwarfs is ahead, 67 minutes to 61, but TRON only opened in April 2023. It is a Lightning Lane Single Pass ride, so it is not included in Multi Pass.

Is TRON worth paying for?

Sometimes. It is the longest queue in the park and only two minutes long, which is the worst minutes-per-dollar on the property — but it is also the hardest ride at Magic Kingdom to get any other way. Rope drop or the last hour are the free alternatives; there is no single rider line.

Is there a single rider queue for TRON?

No. Disney lists single rider lines at six attractions, and none of them is at Magic Kingdom. The free ways past a queue that averaged 63 minutes in 2025–26 are rope drop and the last hour.
