Grand Floridian Cafe
The short answer
Closed for refurbishment until 1 November 2026. Dinner reservations open from 2 November; until then its brunch runs in Cítricos upstairs, 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM. The published dinner menu has seven distinct entrées at $26 to $39, averaging $32.00 — moderate pricing for a deluxe resort on the monorail.

Is it worth the money?
Yes, once it reopens. It is the most reasonably priced table-service meal at the Grand Floridian by a distance, and one of the few moderately priced sit-down meals on the monorail loop.
What it costs. A $32.00 average entrée in the flagship deluxe resort. Compare that to 1900 Park Fare downstairs at $69 a head for the dinner buffet, or Cítricos upstairs, banded a tier higher at $35 to $59.99. For a couple the Cafe is the difference between a $70 dinner and a $150 one in the same building.
Until 1 November, the Cafe is not open. Brunch has moved to Cítricos, 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM, and is booked under the Grand Floridian Cafe name. WDW News Today reported on 3 September 2026 that brunch was not yet bookable from 2 November, only dinner. Whether brunch returns to the Cafe on reopening is not yet published.
Disney's own data contradicts its own notice, and it matters if you plan by the app. On 11 September 2026 Disney's schedule service listed the Cafe as operating 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM on every date we checked into November. At the same time the restaurant's own page carried the closure notice. The schedule describes the brunch service running under the Cafe's name in another room. The notice is the one to believe.
It books easily, which is the other reason it is useful. Demand at the Grand Floridian goes to 1900 Park Fare, Victoria & Albert's and the Cítricos dinner, which leaves the Cafe open for anyone who wants a normal meal near Magic Kingdom.
Who it’s right for
Anyone on the monorail loop who wants a sit-down meal without deluxe pricing. Families wanting a break from Magic Kingdom, one monorail stop away. Vegetarians, with the tofu curry. Anyone who could not get 1900 Park Fare or does not want a buffet.
Who it’s wrong for
Anyone visiting before 2 November 2026, when it is closed. Anyone wanting a special-occasion dinner, which at this resort is Cítricos, Narcoossee's or Victoria & Albert's. Anyone who wants characters, who needs 1900 Park Fare. And anyone relying on the My Disney Experience schedule alone this autumn.
What is actually good
Read the dates before the dishes. Disney's own page says the Cafe is "temporarily closed for refurbishment" from mid-July through October 2026, with brunch moved to Cítricos. WDW News Today reported on 3 September 2026 that dinner reservations open from 2 November. The prices below are the dinner menu Disney currently publishes for the restaurant, read on 11 September 2026. It is the menu you would book against today, and it could change before the doors reopen.
Seven distinct entrées, $26 to $39, averaging $32.00. The Grand Floridian Café Signature Burger at $26, a 7-oz patty with brie and bacon-pepper jam. Buttermilk-fried Chicken at $29, a Farmer's Market Vegetable Curry at $30, Miso-glazed Salmon at $31, and a Slow-braised Pork Shank at $34. Then the Cajun Pasta at $35 and a 10-oz New York Strip at $39.
Two dishes are listed more than once. The Cajun Pasta appears with chicken at $35 and shrimp at $41. The curry appears with tofu or chicken at $30 and shrimp at $34. Those are protein choices on one dish, so each is counted once at its lowest price. Counting all ten rows gives a $32.90 average off a menu that does not have ten entrées.
Eight appetisers, $10 to $19. A Caesar Salad and Loaded Yuca Fries at $10, French onion soup gratin, seasonal soup and an Heirloom Apple Salad at $13, House-made Plantain Rolls with mango-curry jam at $14, Carnitas Tacos at $15, and a Shrimp Cocktail at $19. Four desserts, $9 to $11.
Disney bands the restaurant $$, "$15 to $34.99 per adult". The $32.00 entrée average sits inside it, and two of the seven entrées cost more than $34.99.
Portions
Proper entrée-sized plates, and the appetisers are sized to share. The Loaded Yuca Fries and the Plantain Rolls are the two a table orders once and splits. The burger and the fried chicken are the heaviest things on the menu and eat as a full meal without a starter.
Allergies and dietary needs
Reasonable. The Farmer's Market Vegetable Curry with tofu at $30 is a real vegetarian entrée, and the Heirloom Apple Salad, Caesar, yuca fries and plantain rolls cover the starters. Shellfish is easy to avoid: the shrimp appears as an option on two dishes and in the cocktail, not built into the menu. Disney requires guests with allergies to speak to a cast member, and says so on the menu itself.
