Is it worth the money?
Yes, once it reopens. Disney Tourist Blog calls it criminally underrated, and the prices are fair for Walt Disney World.
The case for it. Disney Tourist Blog's Tom Bricker, April 2026, called it "one of our favorite hidden gem" restaurants and "criminally underrated". He praised the prime rib and the pork chop, and called the $39 steaks "relatively reasonable" by Walt Disney World standards. Disney itself calls it one of the best-kept secrets at Saratoga Springs.
The room is being redone. Bricker described the old dining room as a mid-1980s country club: dark wood, dated, but intimate and calm. The refurbishment is meant to modernise it while keeping the horse-racing theme.
When it reopens is not settled. Disney Tourist Blog reported in April 2026 that the restaurant would close from mid-August to mid-September. Disney's own page now says late August through late September, and Disney's booking schedule shows it closed through 29 September. The Turf Club Lounge next door stays open throughout.
On the dining plan: Disney's own listing tags The Turf Club for both the 2026 and 2027 table-service plans.

What is actually good
Read from Disney's own dinner menu for The Turf Club on 12 September 2026, while the restaurant was closed for refurbishment. The menu may change when it reopens.
Eight entrées, $25 to $39, averaging $32.75. The Turf Club burger is $25 and a tempura-fried hen of the woods mushroom $26. Buttermilk-fried herb chicken is $29, a bourbon-apple glazed pork chop $33, and a scallop pappardelle $35. A smoked-salmon-wrapped halibut is $36. The slow-roasted prime rib and a char-grilled New York strip are $39 each. Four of the eight entrées cost more than $34.99.
Six appetizers, $11 to $19, averaging $14.17 — French onion soup $11, a wedge salad and an onion ring tower at $12, agave-glazed Brussels sprouts $13, sautéed shrimp $18 and calamari $19. The Brussels sprouts and wedge are garnished with greens grown at The Land pavilion at EPCOT.
Add-ons: caramelized scallops $12, parmesan-crusted shrimp $8, and a Turf Club butter board $6. Four desserts, $10 to $12, and a kids' menu at $11.50 to $13.50.
The steak prices held through the refurbishment. Disney Tourist Blog quoted $39 for both the prime rib and the strip in April 2026.
Disney bands it $$, "$15 to $34.99 per adult". The entrée average of $32.75 sits inside it.
Portions
Steakhouse-sized. Disney Tourist Blog called the pork chop "a massive, juicy cut" and the prime rib juicy and flavorful.
Allergies and dietary needs
