Which Disney World parks have Fourth of July fireworks?

Two. Magic Kingdom swaps Happily Ever After for Disney's Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky, with a second display over the Seven Seas Lagoon that guests outside the park can see too. EPCOT keeps Luminous The Symphony of Us and follows it with the Heartbeat of Freedom, a finale of a few minutes launched from around World Showcase.

Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom run nothing extra. Theme Park Shark, reading Disney's own schedule, gives Celebrate America! a running time of 15 minutes.

Was 2026 a normal Fourth of July?

No. For the United States' 250th anniversary Disney ran both shows on three nights, which WDWMagic reported as a first; in a normal year Magic Kingdom runs Celebrate America! on 3 and 4 July and EPCOT the Heartbeat of Freedom on the 4th only. Disney Tourist Blog notes the one earlier exception, 2013, when Celebrate America! ran for a week.

Magic Kingdom opened from 8am to 11pm on 3 July and 8am to midnight on the 4th, according to Disney Tourist Blog; EPCOT kept its ordinary 9am to 9pm. Magic Kingdom's Annual Passholder reservations for the 4th were full by 22 June, WDWMagic reported, and EPCOT's by 2 July.

How crowded is Disney World on the Fourth of July?

Much less than its reputation. Disney Tourist Blog says Independence Day has not been busy for four years and calls it "a below-average holiday during a below-average month". Our own crowd index agrees about the month: July sat at 34.6% in 2024 and 2025, against 65.4% before 2020.

The exception is the fireworks. Main Street and the World Showcase promenade fill hours ahead, even when ride queues are ordinary. Disney Tourist Blog's advice is to see Celebrate America! on 3 July, when crowds are lighter, and EPCOT's finale on the 4th.

What should you expect for the Fourth of July in 2027?

The normal pattern, most likely. Disney has not announced 2027 shows. Its Pirate Pass calendar already blocks 1 to 4 July 2027, which is how Disney marks the days it expects to be busy, so the holiday still counts as peak on paper even if recent crowds have not behaved like it.

Plan on Celebrate America! on 3 and 4 July and the Heartbeat of Freedom on the 4th, and check Disney's schedule in May, which is when the 2026 times appeared.
