What has Disney published for New Year's Eve 2026 so far?

Tickets, and the rules about who can come. Disney's park calendar carried opening and closing times only as far as 1 December when we read it on 22 September 2026, and its entertainment schedule stopped at 2 December. No 2026 New Year's Eve hours, fireworks or showtimes exist yet from Disney, and any site printing them is repeating last year.

Two things are settled. One-day tickets for 31 December were on sale for all four parks. And Disney's pass calendar blocks most Annual Passholders out of every park that night:

• Incredi Pass — Not blocked
• Sorcerer Pass — 20 December to 1 January
• Pirate Pass — 19 December to 2 January
• Pixie Dust Pass — 18 December to 3 January

In 2025 Inside the Magic reported the equivalent blockout at Magic Kingdom only. For 2026 Disney's own data blocks all four parks.

How much is a Disney World ticket on New Year's Eve 2026?

We record Disney's ticket calendar every day. On 22 September 2026 a one-day adult ticket for 31 December cost, before tax:

EPCOT is the only park Disney charges more for on New Year's Eve itself, $10 above Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. We read that as a hint of where Disney expects the night's crowd. A Park Hopper Plus was $310.50.

Which park is best on New Year's Eve?

EPCOT, for most adults. Disney has not announced 2026, so the pattern to plan on is 2025, when every park but Animal Kingdom counted down to midnight:

EPCOT also ran dance parties and live music around World Showcase from 7:00pm to 1:00am, with DJs at Japan, Italy and China and a silent disco between the UK and Canada. Hollywood Studios' show was mostly lasers and projections with a little rooftop pyrotechnics, by Disney Tourist Blog's account, because the park has no full launch site.

One trap: the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays ends on 30 December 2026, so its food booths are gone by the night itself.

Will Disney World close its gates on New Year's Eve?

Probably not, but park reservations can run out, and the two get confused. In 2025 Magic Kingdom's reservations for some ticket types were gone by late September, according to Disney Food Blog, and by early December WDWMagic reported Magic Kingdom full for Annual Passholders on New Year's Eve.

Selling out reservations is not the gate closing. Disney Food Blog reported no phased closures around Christmas or New Year in 2024, and that Cast Members were not expecting any for New Year's Eve 2025. We found no dated report of Disney closing a park's gates on 31 December 2025.

If it does happen, the sequence is car parks first, then Disney transport only, then resort guests only, then nobody. Disney's line for it is (407) 560-5000.

How do you do New Year's Eve at Disney World well?

Split the fireworks across two nights. Magic Kingdom ran the same Fantasy in the Sky times on 30 December in 2025, so Disney Tourist Blog's advice is to do Magic Kingdom on the 30th and EPCOT on the 31st.

On the night, claim a fireworks spot at least two hours ahead, eat at an off-peak hour such as 3:00pm, and stay put after midnight rather than joining the exit rush. Animal Kingdom, which closes early and never counts down, is the quiet morning park before hopping.

A DISboards poster planning a Magic Kingdom-to-EPCOT hop argued that EPCOT's size and its World Showcase dance parties absorb the crowd better than Magic Kingdom does. That matches the outlets' advice, though it is one guest's reasoning rather than a count.

What happens at Disney Springs and the resorts on New Year's Eve?

Nothing is announced for 2026 yet. In 2025, according to WDWNT, California Grill at the Contemporary held a four-course New Year's dinner with a live band, a champagne toast and the Magic Kingdom fireworks: $229 on 30 December, $299 for the early seating on the 31st and $349 for the late one, booked by phone.

House of Blues at Disney Springs ran a 21-and-over party from 9:00pm. Raglan Road counted down twice, at 7:00pm for midnight in Ireland and again at midnight. Resort hotels often put on family activities, but no outlet lists them, so ask at the front desk.
