What it’s actually like

You walk and stand throughout — there is no ride vehicle and no motion. Nothing frightening. The only demand is on shy children, who may be offered a part and will need to decide quickly.

Common questions

How do children get a part in Enchanted Tales with Belle?

Volunteers are chosen in the wardrobe room before you go through to Belle, and a cast member asks who would like a role. Parts range from a speaking one to holding a prop, and there are enough of them that most children who want one get one — if it matters, stand where you can be seen and be quick to raise a hand.

Can adults take part in Enchanted Tales with Belle?

Yes, and adults regularly do — several parts are written for grown-ups and they usually get the biggest laughs. It is not a children-only experience.

Do you actually meet Belle?

Yes. The show ends with time in the library where she speaks to the group, and each child who took part is thanked by name and photographed with her. It is a character meeting with a story attached rather than a queue and a signature.

Can you stay in a wheelchair for Enchanted Tales with Belle?

No — Disney lists this one as a required transfer, which is unusual among Magic Kingdom shows and worth knowing in advance. Assistive listening and handheld captioning are available.
