Is it accessible?

• You can stay in a wheelchair, which boards through a wheelchair access vehicle. An ECV user transfers to a wheelchair first.

What boarding is like

A wheelchair-accessible clamshell is available, so a wheelchair user does not transfer; an ECV user transfers to a wheelchair first. On the standard clamshells the belt slows and can be stopped on request — ask at the queue entrance rather than at the platform.

What it’s actually like

Slow, no drops, no sudden movements. One scene with Ursula is loud and visually dark, which briefly unsettles some small children, though nothing lunges. Otherwise entirely mild.

Can you stay in a wheelchair on Under the Sea?

Yes — the clamshells include a wheelchair-accessible one, so you ride without leaving your chair. An ECV has to be swapped for a wheelchair before you board. On the standard clamshells the belt slows and cast members will halt it if asked.

Is Under the Sea scary?

Only Ursula, and only briefly. She is large, dark and loud in one scene of a six-minute ride that is otherwise bright and musical. There are no drops and no height requirement.

Do you get wet on Under the Sea?

No. It is a dry ride on a track despite the theme — Disney says so on the attraction page, because the question comes up constantly.

Is Under the Sea worth a Lightning Lane?

No. Ten minutes was the 2025–26 average and 21 the average daily peak, and because the clamshells load continuously the sign tends to read worse than the queue behaves. Ride it as you pass.
