The review averages combine Cruise Critic, Cruiseline.com and TripAdvisor scores, and leave out the Destiny for lack of reviews. Cruise Critic had not yet rated the Destiny or the Adventure. Disney Tourist Blog's March 2026 Destiny review placed it closer to the Treasure than the Wish, but declined to rank it second.

Why does the Disney Wish divide opinion?

The Wish is last in three of those five rankings and first in a fourth. The complaints are about layout, not service: Disney Tourist Blog calls its layout counterintuitive, Disney Cruise Planning calls it confusing, and CruiseMummy's reading of guest reviews found bottlenecks and crowding, while praising the crew.

Its fans are real too. Magic Guides ranks it first, and in a February 2026 DISboards thread one family who had sailed it twice said it gets a lot of hate but they love it. The Treasure and the Destiny share its hull, so reviewers who dislike the layout say the same of them, but rate their theming higher.

Which Disney ship is best for young children?

The outlets split along ship age on this one. Magic Guides, updated August 2026, calls the Wish, Treasure and Destiny a three-way tie for kids, for the fleet's most extensive kids' features, the AquaMouse among them. Cruise Critic's July 2026 guide picks the Disney Magic instead, because a smaller ship is less overwhelming for little ones.

Which Disney ship is best for teens and tweens?

Every ship has Edge for 11 to 14 and Vibe for 14 to 17, so the question is what surrounds them. Cruise Critic's guide names the Disney Destiny, for its character encounters, Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King and Disney Hercules.

The Points Guy picked the Disney Wish in 2023, before the Treasure and Destiny existed, for its Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge and the teen lounges.

Which Disney ship is best for adults?

The Disney Fantasy, on most lists. Cruise Critic names it the best ship for couples, Disney Cruise Planning ranks it first overall and calls it the best for adults, and The Points Guy chose it for adults for its Europa district of bars.

The Dream and Fantasy keep adults-only bars together in one district and have Remy as a second adults-only restaurant. The Wish class has better-themed bars, including the Haunted Mansion Parlor on the Treasure and Destiny, but WDW Magazine's writer found its adult pool mobbed. The Disney Adventure has no adults-only pool at all, Disney says.

Which Disney ship is best for a first cruise?

The answer depends on length. Cruise Critic's July 2026 guide picks the Disney Treasure for first-timers, for its themed bars, Plaza de Coco and The Tale of Moana, but the Treasure sails almost only seven-night Caribbean cruises.

For a short first try from Orlando, the Disney Wish sails three- and four-night Bahamas cruises from Port Canaveral until spring 2027, then returns there from November 2027 after a season in Europe and New York.
