What is the same on the Wish, Treasure and Destiny?

All three have the same layout, the same Quiet Cove adults' pool district, Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté as the adult restaurants, and 1923 and Worlds of Marvel among the three rotational restaurants. If you know one, you can find your way around the others.

All three also stage Disney Seas the Adventure, the welcome show. The Haunted Mansion Parlor is on both the Treasure and the Destiny; the Destiny's has its own menu, and Disney added a skeletal-fish centrepiece to it.

Which ship sails where, and for how long?

Where and how long each ship sails usually decides the booking. From our ship records:

Attractions Magazine sums up the design intent the same way: the Wish for short cruises, the Treasure for weeklong ones, the Destiny for four- and five-night trips in between. Which of the three has the best lounges for adults?

Each ship's best lounge suits a different fan. The Wish's Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge was the first Star Wars bar at sea, with a viewport that jumps between planets. The Treasure and the Destiny both have the Haunted Mansion Parlor, which WDW Magazine's writer, who has sailed four Disney ships, singles out with Skipper Society as the standout bars in the fleet.

The Destiny's are the most villainous: De Vil's, a Cruella piano lounge, and The Sanctum, a Doctor Strange parlour that is 18+ in the evening, where the Disney Cruise Line Blog found the signature cocktail at $25, or $50 with a specialty coaster. Drinks in the Haunted Mansion Parlor on the Destiny run to $55 and $65 for its showpiece pours.

So which should you book: the Destiny, the Treasure or the Wish?

Book the itinerary first, then let theming break the tie.

Choose the Wish for a first, short Disney cruise from Orlando, or for Frozen, Star Wars and princesses. Choose the Treasure for a full week in the Caribbean, or if Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise and Coco are your Disney. Choose the Destiny for four or five nights from Fort Lauderdale, or for Marvel, villains, Hercules and the fleet's only Lion King dinner.
