Where does a Disney ship dock in Ketchikan?

Downtown, according to every 2026 port guide we checked. Bucket List Guides calls the Disney Magic and Wonder regulars at the downtown berths, and Ketchikan Attractions and My Perfect Alaska Cruise both list Disney downtown. The Disney Cruise Line Blog's 2024 trip log explored downtown on foot from the Wonder, taking in Creek Street and the salmon ladder.

The alternative is Ward Cove, a newer terminal 7 to 8 miles north, about 20 minutes' drive, which Norwegian uses; Ketchikan Attractions warns that a trip downtown from there is a 45-to-90-minute round trip before you have done anything. Assignments can change, so check the Navigator.

How long do you get in Ketchikan on a Disney cruise?

Ketchikan is the last port of the week, the day after Juneau. On the Wonder's nine-night sailing in July 2024 it came on day 3, with guests ashore from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Blog's trip log shows, so the shape of the day depends on your sailing.

What can you walk to from the Ketchikan cruise docks?

Most of what visitors come for. Creek Street, the boardwalk over Ketchikan Creek, is close to the docks, and the city's Tongass Historical Museum is at 629 Dock Street by its northern entrance, about a 10-minute walk, Ketchikan Museums says. The Totem Heritage Center, which keeps original 19th-century totem poles, is about 15 minutes' walk.

The city charges $7 for adults and $6 for seniors at each, with children 12 and under free, or $10 for a pass to both, its own page says. Experience Ketchikan still lists $6 and $5 with free entry under 17, so trust the city's price.

The Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show performs a block from the downtown terminal and has opened a second venue at Ward Cove.

How wet is Ketchikan, and what should you bring?

Very. The Disney Cruise Line Blog's 2024 trip log, on a day of heavy rain, cited 140 to 160 inches a year. NOAA's climatological summary for Ketchikan's airport recorded 175.54 inches in 2023, with measurable precipitation on 232 days.

Bring a proper rain jacket and shoes that can take puddles, and plan indoor stops, such as the two museums, for the heaviest showers.
