Cheap Disney World tickets in 2026: the discounts that are real, who qualifies, and what to avoid
The short answer
The biggest saving is buying more days: on MouseSavers' 2026 chart a one-day ticket costs $127 to $223 with tax, a seven-day ticket $88 to $138 a day. Then pick cheaper start dates and buy from an authorized reseller. Florida residents and military families get much bigger discounts. Never buy a used ticket.
What is the cheapest way to buy Disney World tickets?
In order of how much each one saves:
- Buy more days — A one-day ticket is $127 to $223 with tax on MouseSavers' 2026 chart; seven days is $618 to $966, or $88 to $138 a day
- Pick cheaper dates — Magic Kingdom alone runs from $139 to $209 a day before tax across 2026, TouringPlans lists
- Use an authorized reseller — A little off Disney's price, with the same ticket
- Qualify for a special rate — Florida residents and military families pay far less

Which Disney World ticket sellers are legitimate?
Buy from Disney or from an authorized reseller. One planning site recommends Get Away Today and Undercover Tourist, which it says usually sit within a few dollars of each other; NerdWallet adds some AAA chapters, which vary by region.3 A legitimate seller gives you a ticket you can link to My Disney Experience before you travel.
"Most places selling discount Disney tickets are scams", Disney Tourist Blog warns. Skip eBay, Craigslist and anyone selling a partly used ticket: tickets are locked to the first person who uses them, by fingerprint, so a used one is worthless to anyone else.
How much do Florida residents save on Disney World tickets?
A lot, in set windows. Disney's Discover Disney Summer Ticket for Florida residents, valid from 17 May to 3 October 2026, costs $219 for two days, $239 for three and $259 for four, plus tax, Disney Tourist Blog reports: $65 a day on the four-day. A Park Hopper adds $40.
The earlier Discover Disney Ticket, for 12 January to 16 May 2026, started at $64 a day.5 Every adult must show proof of Florida residency at the gate. The summer ticket ends on 3 October, so watch for Disney's next Florida offer.
What Disney World ticket discount do military families get?
The largest of all. The 2026 Disney Armed Forces Salute sells a four-day Park Hopper for $409, five days for $429 and six for $449, plus tax.6 The tickets are valid from 1 January to 18 December 2026, with blockouts from 29 March to 11 April and from 22 to 28 November.
Active and retired service members qualify, with National Guard, Reserve, NOAA and Public Health Service Commissioned Corps members and qualifying spouses. Buy through a base ticket office or the Shades of Green ticket office.
Do Disney gift cards or the Disney Visa save money on tickets?
A little. Buying Disney gift cards with a Target RedCard takes 5% off, and the gift cards pay for tickets bought from Disney.7 The $149 Disney Inspire Visa gives a $100 statement credit once you spend $200 on park tickets bought directly from Disney in a year.

When do Disney World ticket prices go up?
Disney set its 2027 prices in April 2026, with a new one-day high of $219, Disney Tourist Blog reported, and it expects more increases around the Christmas season. The same outlet expected increases in October 2026.
If you know your dates, buying before an increase locks in the price: Disney tickets are for set dates, and a ticket bought now keeps its price. Authorized resellers sometimes keep pre-increase prices for a short window after Disney raises its own.7
