Disney World itinerary for 3, 4 or 5 days: which parks, which day of the week, and where the night shows fall
The short answer
With three days, do Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, and skip Animal Kingdom unless you buy a Park Hopper. With four, give each park a day; with five, add a second Magic Kingdom day. Put EPCOT on a Wednesday, keep Magic Kingdom off Monday, and check party nights before you place Magic Kingdom.

With a Park Hopper, Disney Tourist Blog's three-day plan fits in Animal Kingdom too: Hollywood Studios in the morning and EPCOT at night on day two, then Animal Kingdom early on day three before hopping on. Which day of the week should each Disney park go on?
Monday is the busiest day at every park and Wednesday the quietest overall, on Queue-Times' crowd index for 2024 and 2025. Our day-of-week guide has the full tables; the short version:

How do Christmas and Halloween party nights change a Magic Kingdom day?
On party days Magic Kingdom closes to day guests at 6:00 p.m., with no Happily Ever After for them. In our record of Disney's schedule for 15 September to 25 November 2026, the fireworks run on 38 of 72 nights, and on only 3 of 10 Sundays, against 10 of 11 Wednesdays and 9 of 10 Mondays and Saturdays.
The days themselves are quieter. On party days in our September record, posted waits from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ran 33% below ordinary days, and TouringPlans makes the same point: everyone avoids party dates. The Disney Journey's rule fits both: with one Magic Kingdom day on a first trip, do not spend it on a party day.
With two, make one of them a party day.
Which nights have Luminous, Fantasmic! and Happily Ever After?

How much does each extra day at Disney World cost?
Less each time. MouseSavers' chart of 2026 adult base tickets, bought in advance with tax included:

The fifth day adds $47 to $97 over a four-day ticket, less than half the price of a one-day ticket. A Park Hopper adds $80 to $101 to a three-day ticket on the same chart. Prices vary by start date, so check yours; our ticket page has the detail.
Is Early Entry worth planning around?
On a short trip, yes. Guests at Disney resort hotels and select other hotels enter every park 30 minutes early on every day of their stay, including check-in and check-out days, Disney says. One planning site calls Early Entry almost essential on a three-day trip.1

- Yes, at every park. Monday scores highest on Queue-Times' crowd index for 2024 and 2025, because most visitors arrive at the weekend and start their trip on Monday, usually at Magic Kingdom. Use Monday for Hollywood Studios, where the day of the week matters least.
