Is it worth the money?

This is the rare resort where the arithmetic answers the question. A Beach Club Villas studio and a standard Beach Club hotel room both start at $638 in 2026 and both sleep five. The studio adds a kitchenette and a quieter wing; the hotel room adds daily housekeeping and a slightly larger footprint at 381 square feet against 356.

So the choice is not really about money, it is about whether a fridge, a microwave and a sink are worth twenty-five square feet to you. For a family with young children, breakfast in the room usually wins. For two adults, the hotel room usually does.

What you are paying for either way is Stormalong Bay and the five-minute walk into EPCOT, and both are worth it — three acres of sand-bottomed pool with a lazy river and a shipwreck slide is the best hotel pool in Florida, and walking back for a nap changes how a park day works.

Every room type, and who fits in it

Disney returns one room list for the whole property, covering Beach Club Villas and Beach Club. It does not say which rooms belong to which, so neither do we. Straight from Disney’s own booking data, checked 2026-09-19. Occupancy excludes infants — Disney counts a baby in a cot separately, which is why a room that “sleeps 5” here can appear as 6 on their site.

Which room should you request?

A separate building attached to the Beach Club, facing Crescent Lake on one side and the quiet Dunes Cove pool on the other. It is the calmest corner of the EPCOT resort area, which is the point of it.

The walk to EPCOT's International Gateway is about five minutes; Hollywood Studios is a longer walk or a boat. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom are buses, and that is the weakness the whole area shares.

One live caveat for 2026: an exterior maintenance project covers the Beach Club and the Villas and runs into 2027, with Disney warning of view impacts and alternate walking routes. The Skyliner also closed 25 to 31 January 2026 with buses replacing it.

What has changed recently?

An exterior maintenance project at the Beach Club and Beach Club Villas is running through 2027, with view impacts and alternate paths — worth asking about at booking. Stormalong Bay itself reopened on 17 June 2025 after a six-month refurbishment that resurfaced the pools and rebuilt the cabanas, so it is open and freshly done. Any guide still telling you the best pool on property is closed is out of date.

The villa wing is quiet in a way the hotel is not, and a studio has a table and a kitchenette. The real advantage is outside the room: the Beach Club Marketplace, the Boardwalk a few minutes away, and EPCOT itself through the back gate for a change of scene at lunchtime. One-bedroom villas have a full kitchen, a washer-dryer and a separate living room, which is what makes a working week practical instead of merely possible.

Do Beach Club Villas guests get Stormalong Bay?

Yes. Stormalong Bay is shared by the Yacht Club, the Beach Club and the Beach Club Villas, and villa guests have exactly the same access. It is limited to guests of those three, which is why it stays usable. It reopened on 17 June 2025 after a six-month refurbishment.

A queen bed, a queen-size pull-down bed, and a single pull-down under the television. That third berth is unusual — most villa studios sleep four, or five only with a child. It makes this one of the better studios on property for a family of five who do not want to pay for a one-bedroom.
