Where are the Discovery Island Trails?

They wrap around the base of the Tree of Life, with several entrances off the main paths. Almost everybody walks past them on the way somewhere else, which is exactly why they are the quietest animal viewing in the park.

What animals are on the Discovery Island Trails?

Otters, lemurs, kangaroos, storks and porcupines among others, in small habitats close to the path. The otters are the crowd-pleaser and the closest look you get at an active animal anywhere in Animal Kingdom.

How long do the Discovery Island Trails take?

About fifteen minutes if you follow them round, and there is no queue at any point. They also work as a route rather than a detour — you can cross the middle of the park through them instead of around.

Are the Discovery Island Trails accessible?

Fully — you stay in whichever you arrived in, wheelchair or ECV, and nothing needs boarding. The paths are wide and step-free, though a few viewing spots get tight when several people stop at once.
