Festival of the Lion King is Animal Kingdom's big stage show: 40 minutes of song, puppetry and acrobatics at the Harambe Theatre in Africa, several times a day. Sunshine Whispers ranks it second of 46 Walt Disney World shows. Seating is limited and not guaranteed, so arrive early or use Lightning Lane.

What it’s actually like

A mix of Broadway production and circus — Sunshine Whispers compares it to Cirque du Soleil, with fire, acrobats and aerialists, all set to songs from The Lion King. It is Wandering in Disney's favourite show in the park, and ThemeParkHipster calls it spectacular and not to be missed.

You sit throughout. Loud music and big costumes, but nothing frightening; Disney tags it for every age from preschoolers up.
