Animal Kingdom has 10 rides with a published series, the fewest of the four by a wide margin, and exactly 1 of them averages 45 minutes or more: Avatar Flight of Passage, at 57. Judged as a ride park it looks thin, and that is how it is usually judged.
It is the wrong measurement. The safari, the trails and the theatre shows are the reason to come, and none of them appears in a wait-time table — a walking trail has no queue to post. The median of 27 minutes is higher than EPCOT’s largely because there are so few rides to average.
