What is The Oasis at Animal Kingdom?

The first area inside the park — a shaded network of paths with animal habitats set into the planting. Wallabies, macaws, giant anteaters and ducks, in a space designed to slow you down before you reach the Tree of Life.

Is The Oasis worth stopping for?

It is the most-skipped part of Animal Kingdom and the argument for it is simple: everybody hurries through at opening and hurries through again at closing, so it is the quietest animal viewing in the park at both ends of the day. Ten or fifteen minutes on the way out is the easiest version.

Is The Oasis accessible?

Yes, in a wheelchair or an ECV throughout, step-free, with no transfer and no queue. There are multiple routes through, so a busy path can always be avoided.

When is the best time to see The Oasis?

On the way out rather than the way in. At opening everyone is moving through it towards the rides and the animals are only just becoming active; in the last hour the crowds have gone the other way and you have it largely to yourself.
