How much more does concierge cost than a verandah on a Disney cruise?

Close to double, and the gap varies by ship. These are opening-day averages for fall 2026 to spring 2027, per night for two, with our premium worked out from them.¹

The Wish is the cheapest Wish-class ship to upgrade, and the Treasure the dearest in the fleet: on a seven-night Treasure sailing the upgrade is about $8,050 for two. These are floors on the day bookings open; prices rise afterwards.

Gratuities rise too. Disney recommends $27.25 a guest a night in concierge against $16 elsewhere, an extra $11.25 for every person in the room.

What does Disney cruise concierge include?

Six things matter, going by Magic Guides' August 2025 guide and The Points Guy's December 2025 test sailing.

• Booking from 130 days out, by phone — 130 days is the telephone window, through Shoreside Concierge Services. Online booking opens at 123 days — the same day a Pearl member gets. The concierge team books Palo, spa, excursions and Castaway Cay cabanas the moment it opens
• Private lounge — Open roughly 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., with food and drinks all day and an open bar from 5 to 10 p.m.
• Sundeck — Loungers, towels and drinks; on the Wish and Treasure, hot tubs and a small pool
• Priority boarding and leaving — A separate check-in area, and on the last morning a private route off the ship with your bags
• The room — Bathrobes, slippers, better linens and more space
• Small extras — Early seating for shows, a private character visit, priority tender boarding

Is the 130-day booking window worth the money?

On the busiest ships, it is most of what you are paying for. Everyone else books activities from 75 to 120 days out, by Castaway Club tier, so concierge guests effectively choose first on every Palo table, cabana and popular excursion.

That edge is worth most on the 4,000-guest Wish-class ships on short sailings, where the good times go fast, and on the Adventure, whose 6,700 guests put more pressure on bookings than any other Disney ship. It is worth least on the 1,750-guest Magic and Wonder, where Palo and the spa are rarely out of reach anyway.

Who should book concierge on a Disney cruise, and who should not?

The Points Guy's test reached the same place we do: skip it if you will not use the lounge and do not need a head start on bookings; book it if those perks will shape your trip and the budget allows.

Book it if you want a Castaway Cay cabana or a particular Palo time, you are on a short Wish, Treasure or Destiny sailing in a busy week, you would use an evening open bar most nights, or you are a party of five who would otherwise need two rooms.

Skip it if you are on the Magic or Wonder, sailing a quiet week, or not drinking. The Treasure's premium, about $1,150 a night for two, buys a great many Palo dinners and cabana days at standard prices.

Which Disney ships have the best concierge areas?

The Wish-class ships. On the Wish and Treasure the lounge and sundeck sit on decks 12 and 13 near the top of the ship, with a full bar, hot tubs and a small pool just for concierge guests, The Points Guy found. On the Dream and Fantasy the lounge is on Deck 12, and on the Magic and Wonder it is midships on Deck 10.
