Disney cruise Pirate Night: which ships and sailings have it, the two deck shows, the fireworks, the menu and what to wear

What happens on Pirate Night on a Disney cruise?

Four things, through one evening.

• Afternoon — A Mickey pirate bandana, often with chocolate gold coins, left in your stateroom
• Dinner — A pirate-themed menu in your rotational restaurant, with servers in costume
• About 10:15 to 10:30 p.m. — The deck party on the pool deck, 20 to 30 minutes, after the second dinner seating
• After the show — Fireworks at sea, then a pirate dance party and the film on the big screen

What is the difference between Pirate Night on the new and old Disney ships?

The show. On the Wish, Treasure and Destiny it is Pirates Rockin' Parlay Party, a live rock show hosted by Captain Redd, the red-headed pirate from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, with stunts, Captain Jack Sparrow and a fireworks finale set to the film's music.

The Magic, Wonder, Dream and Fantasy keep the older Pirates in the Caribbean deck party, with Captain Hook, Captain Jack Sparrow and Captain Mickey, ending in the Buccaneer Blast fireworks. On the Treasure, our ship page records, the pools on Deck 11 are covered over for it.

Does every Disney cruise have Pirate Night?

No, and the sources disagree about Europe.

Alaska does not. Disney Cruise Planning says Alaska sailings have a Freezing the Night Away deck party instead, and our Wonder page notes Disney does not always say so in advance.

Europe is disputed. EverythingMouse, in July 2026, says Pirate Night runs on European sailings too. Disney Cruise Planning says European cruises have a varying deck party, almost never Pirate Night and never with fireworks. Our Magic and Dream pages say European itineraries often substitute a different party.

What is on the Disney cruise Pirate Night menu?

The Pirates in the Caribbean menu, served in all three rotational restaurants the same night. EverythingMouse's July 2026 review lists Jack's Treasure-of-the-Seas, grilled shrimp and seared scallops with pasta, as the best dish, alongside jerk chicken and Bananas in Paradise for dessert, with appetizers including a crab cake and a vegetable samosa.

On a three-night cruise you get your restaurant's usual menu instead, a planDisney panelist said in 2023. On longer cruises the pirate menu is typical but not guaranteed.

It is the menu repeat cruisers skip most, because they see it on every sailing.³ If you have had it before, Pirate Night is a good evening to book Palo or order room service and watch the fireworks from the deck.

Which night is Pirate Night, and what should you wear?

On three-night cruises it usually falls on the Castaway Cay day, and on four-night cruises often on the sea day.² On longer sailings it varies; the Navigator app shows it.
