Disney cruises from San Diego (and why not Long Beach): every 2026–27 sailing, prices and what to know

Does Disney Cruise Line sail from Long Beach or Los Angeles?

No. Disney's own California page lists one departure port, San Diego, for Baja and Mexican Riviera cruises. People searching for Long Beach are usually looking for this.

Disney has sailed from Los Angeles before. In 2011 and 2012 the Disney Wonder ran its Mexican Riviera cruises from the Port of Los Angeles, according to Dreams Unlimited Travel's archived itineraries. The Port of San Diego says Disney has sailed from there since 2012.

San Diego is settled for years. On 23 April 2026 the port and Disney announced an agreement through at least 2031 that roughly doubles Disney's San Diego sailings each year, with priority access to the North and South berths of the B Street cruise terminal.

Which Disney cruises leave from San Diego in 2026 and 2027?

Two ships this season, on WDW News Today's full list of Disney's release, with opening prices for two guests including taxes and fees:

The Disney Magic arrives from Vancouver on 21 September 2026 and sails Baja and Mexican Riviera cruises until 6 November, when it leaves on a 14-night Panama Canal crossing to Galveston. It comes back the same way, arriving 9 May 2027, and heads to Vancouver for Alaska.

The Disney Wonder arrives on 3 October 2026 and stays until 6 May 2027, then sails north to Vancouver.

The port's own release says the Magic "arrives in October". WDW News Today and EverythingMouse both list its first San Diego cruise on 21 September; our ship tracker had it still off south-east Alaska on 12 September, consistent with either. Check the date on Disney's booking page.

What about fall 2027 and beyond?

Disney's announcement of 25 August 2026 keeps both ships in San Diego through early November 2027, on three- to seven-night Baja and Mexican Riviera cruises. The Magic then crosses the Panama Canal to Galveston again. The Wonder stays for fall 2027 and spring 2028, calling at Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas and Catalina Island.

The holiday sailings come too. On the 2026 list, San Diego cruises from 25 September to 2 November are Halloween on the High Seas, and those from 9 November are Very Merrytime.

Which San Diego cruise is the best value?

Longer is cheaper per night. At opening prices for two:

• 3-night Baja from $1,491: $497 a night.
• 7-night Mexican Riviera from $3,066: $438 a night.
• 14-night Panama Canal from $5,458: $390 a night, the cheapest per night of any San Diego sailing.
• The 7-night Christmas cruise (22–29 December) from $5,201: $743 a night. Holidays cost the most.

EverythingMouse found the Wonder slightly cheaper per night than the Magic, especially on five- to seven-night cruises, though not by enough to choose on. The Wonder is also one of the two cheapest ships in Disney's fleet per night; see what a Disney cruise costs.

The Magic and the Wonder are sister ships, Disney's two oldest. Whether that matters is its own question: is an older Disney ship worth it.

What should you know before sailing from San Diego?

Disney uses the B Street cruise terminal, where its 2026 agreement with the port gives it priority at the North and South berths.

There is no port-run cruise parking. Cruise Day Guide notes that the Port of San Diego does not own or operate cruise parking, so every option is a private operator, and few publish a cruise rate. Ask the lot for a price for your number of nights.
