How long it really takes to get to each park
We haven’t timed this resort yet. A door-to-gate time goes here once we have walked the route with a stopwatch at least five times — a single reading hides the variation that actually makes people miss a breakfast reservation. How we measure.
What it costs
Who it’s right for
Parties of five or six, where a two-room suite beats two rooms anywhere else at the price. Multi-generational groups wanting a door between generations. Longer stays, where a living room and a wet bar stop the room feeling small by day four. Hilton Honors members. And anyone working part of the trip, since the separate room is the whole game.
Who it’s wrong for
Couples, who are paying for space they will not use. Guests without a car on a park-heavy schedule, given the hourly shuttle. Anyone who wants theming, character dining or the Disney Dining Plan. And anyone comparing headline rates without adding the resort fee and the parking charge.
Is it worth the money?
For five or six people, this is among the best value on Disney property and the maths is straightforward. A two-room suite sleeping six at $129 plus a $26 resort fee is roughly $155 — against two Disney value rooms at $200-plus, or a Disney moderate that sleeps five in one room.
For two adults it is much less compelling. You are paying for a living room you will not use, at a hotel with no theming and an hourly shuttle, when the Buena Vista Palace next door has better rooms and free parking.
So this is a party-size decision more than a quality one. Above four people it wins on the strip; at two it does not.
What the rooms are actually like
Every room is a two-room suite with a separate living area and a door between it and the bedroom — which is the point, and which no Disney value or moderate resort offers at this price. Most sleep six, with a sofa bed in the living room.
Disney Tourist Blog ranks it second on the strip specifically for this, citing "huge suite-style guest rooms that offer space for guests to spread out". The hotel does not publish a square-footage figure we could source, so this page does not print one; what matters here is the layout rather than the number.

Which room should you request?
On Hotel Plaza Boulevard inside Walt Disney World, a short walk from Disney Springs and no walk at all from a theme park — that is true of every hotel on this road.
Transport is the shared hourly bus shuttle to all four theme parks. Self-parking is charged, unlike at the Buena Vista Palace across the road, so a driver should price both.

The resort fee sits at about $25.88 a night, which is the lowest on Hotel Plaza Boulevard among hotels that charge one — against roughly $39 at the Buena Vista Palace and the Holiday Inn and about $46 at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista. Only the Drury Plaza charges nothing. The all-suite format has not changed and remains the hotel's whole proposition.

The best room layout on Hotel Plaza Boulevard for it, and the reason is a door. A two-room suite lets one person work in the living area while another sleeps, which no standard hotel room allows and which matters enormously on a longer trip. Wet bar, microwave and fridge in every suite. Wifi comes with the resort fee. Disney Springs is a walk away when the room stops working.
