We haven’t timed this resort yet. A door-to-gate time goes here once we have walked the route with a stopwatch at least five times — a single reading hides the variation that actually makes people miss a breakfast reservation. How we measure.
What it costs
Who it’s right for
Families with young children who want character dining without competing for a Disney reservation. Anyone who can book a tower room. Disney Springs-focused trips. Wyndham Rewards members. And guests who find a genuinely low rate here and are travelling with a car.
Who it’s wrong for
Anyone who might land in a garden wing without knowing it — that is the whole risk with this hotel. Guests without a car on a park-heavy schedule, given the hourly shuttle. Anyone comparing headline rates without adding about $70 a night. And travellers who want the character breakfast on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Sunday, when it does not run.
Is it worth the money?
For families with young children, the character breakfast alone can justify it. Goofy and Pluto over a buffet, three mornings a week, bookable outside Disney's system, at a hotel where the room might cost $99 — against a Disney character meal that needs a reservation sixty days out and costs more per person than the room does per night on some dates.
Everything else is conditional on the building. In a tower room this is a decent hotel at a fair price. In a garden wing it is the weakest stay on the strip after the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista, and reviewers say so plainly.
Add about $70 a night in resort fee and parking, and the total lands close to the Drury Plaza — which has no resort fee, includes two meals a day and has no split personality. Book here for the characters; book the Drury for the arithmetic.
What the rooms are actually like
This is the hotel where the building matters more than the brand. Disney Tourist Blog rates the tower rooms well and the garden wings badly, and puts it memorably: walking to your room in the garden wings after coming through the refreshed tower lobby "feels almost like a cruel joke".
So the same hotel gives two quite different stays, and the difference is not a request you can make at check-in. The hotel does not publish a square-footage figure we could source, so this page does not print one. Standard rooms have two queens or a king.

Which room should you request?
On Hotel Plaza Boulevard inside Walt Disney World, a short walk from Disney Springs. As on the rest of the road, no theme park is walkable.
Transport is the shared hourly bus shuttle to all four theme parks. Self-parking is about $30 a night on top of a resort fee of roughly $36 plus tax, which comes to about $40.50 — so budget around $70 a night in extras if you drive.

What has changed recently?
The tower and its lobby were refreshed and the garden wings were not, which is the source of the split reviews and the single most important thing to know before booking. The resort fee is about $36 plus tax and self-parking about $30. Note that Hotel Plaza Boulevard has also changed around it: Disney Tourist Blog's rankings still cover B Resort & Spa and a Best Western, neither of which is on the consortium's current list of seven.
Working from here
workable
Fine in a tower room and poor in a garden wing, which is the summary of this hotel generally. Wifi comes with the resort fee, the refreshed tower lobby has proper seating, and Disney Springs is a walk away. There is no café or work space of the hotel's own, and no reason to choose it over the Drury Plaza or the DoubleTree Suites if working is a real part of the trip.

- Yes — a buffet at the Lakeview Restaurant with Goofy, Pluto and friends, from 7:30 to 10:30 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. It is the only character dining at any hotel on Hotel Plaza Boulevard, and because it books outside Disney's own system it is often available when Disney's character meals are fully booked.

- The same ones every Disney Springs Resort Area hotel gets: 30 minutes of early theme park entry at any of the four parks every day, an hourly bus shuttle to all of them, and Official Walt Disney World Hotel status. You do not get the Disney Dining Plan or Disney's own bus frequency.
