Midday, and for longer than you plan. You do not need to ride The Seas with Nemo & Friends to get in — ask a cast member and walk straight through. Most people queue for a four-minute ride to reach a building they could have entered directly.

What it’s actually like

Two levels of viewing around a 5.7-million-gallon tank holding sharks, rays and sea turtles, with a separate manatee habitat that is part of a genuine rehabilitation programme. Turtle Talk With Crush is in the same building. It is the quietest hour available at EPCOT and almost nobody treats it as a destination.

You walk and stand at your own pace. No motion, nothing enclosed, nothing frightening. Dim lighting throughout, which settles small children, not unsettling them.
