The short answer

The Seas with Nemo & Friends is a short clamshell ride that ends inside a 5.7-million-gallon aquarium with real fish, with no height requirement. The ride is unremarkable; the aquarium you walk into afterwards is one of the largest in the world and free to spend an hour in.

Any time. You can bypass the ride entirely and walk straight into the aquarium — ask a cast member. Most people queue for a four-minute ride to reach a building they could have walked into.

Is it accessible?

A wheelchair-accessible clamshell is available; an ECV user transfers to a wheelchair first. On the standard vehicles the belt slows on request. The aquarium beyond the ride is fully accessible.

What it’s actually like

The aquarium holds sharks, rays, dolphins and a manatee rehabilitation programme. Turtle Talk With Crush is inside the same building and is better than the ride.

Slow, brief and entirely gentle. Dark in places with no drops and nothing startling. Suitable for any age.

Can you stay in a wheelchair on The Seas with Nemo & Friends?
Yes — an accessible clamshell is available so a wheelchair user does not transfer, while an ECV is exchanged for a wheelchair beforehand. On the standard vehicles the loading belt slows and can be halted if you ask.
Is the aquarium included with The Seas with Nemo & Friends?
Yes, and it is the better half. The ride is four minutes and ends inside a 5.7-million-gallon saltwater tank you can then walk around for as long as you like — the largest saltwater tank in the world when it opened in 1986, passed by the Georgia Aquarium in 2005, and now the second-largest aquarium in the United States. Around 6,000 animals live in it, including sharks, rays, turtles and manatees. Plenty of people ride once and stay an hour.
Is The Seas with Nemo & Friends scary?
No. It is slow, bright, four minutes long and has no height requirement. The one dark moment is the anglerfish, which is loud rather than frightening and passes quickly.
Is The Seas with Nemo & Friends worth a Lightning Lane?
No. It averages 10 minutes with a 21-minute peak in 2025–26, and the pavilion beyond it is walk-in regardless. Spend the slot on Test Track.
