Where to stay at Disney World: every price tier, what staying on site gets you, and the right hotel for each park
The short answer
Stay at a Disney-owned hotel if you want Early Entry every day, Lightning Lane bookings seven days ahead instead of three, and free parking. Then pick by budget and park: a value resort from $149 a night, a Skyliner hotel for EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, or the monorail for Magic Kingdom.
How much does each tier of Disney World hotel cost?
From the cheapest season to the dearest, per night for a standard room, in our resort records from MouseSavers' 2026 rate charts:
Tier | Hotels | Per night |
|---|---|---|
Value | 5, the All-Stars, Pop Century, Art of Animation | $149 to $428 |
Moderate | 4, Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, both Port Orleans | $294 to $530 |
Deluxe | 8, from Animal Kingdom Lodge to the Grand Floridian | $508 to $1,495 |
Deluxe villas, cash rates | 13 | $485 to $1,475 |
Fort Wilderness campsites | 1 | $82 to $348 |
All-Star Sports is the cheapest Disney hotel at $149 in the low season. Our resort finder filters every one by price, park and who it sleeps.
What do you get for staying at a Disney hotel?
Four perks, on Disney's own pages:
- Early Entry: every park, 30 minutes early, every day of the stay — All Disney hotels and select others
- Lightning Lane purchases 7 days before your stay, not 3 — Disney hotels, the Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve and Shades of Green
- Extended Evening Hours on select nights — Deluxe and Deluxe Villa guests, the Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve and Shades of Green
- Free overnight parking, with standard theme park parking included — Disney hotel guests
Everyone else pays $35 a day to park at a theme park, Disney says. Disney has confirmed Early Entry and Extended Evening Hours through 2027.
Which Disney World hotel is best for each park?
Pick the park you will use most, because the transport is the real difference between hotels at the same price:
Park | Hotels | How you get there |
|---|---|---|
Magic Kingdom | Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian | Monorail, or a walk from the Contemporary |
EPCOT and Hollywood Studios | BoardWalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan and Dolphin | A walk or boat to both |
EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, cheaper | Riviera, Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, Art of Animation | The Skyliner |
Animal Kingdom | Animal Kingdom Lodge and its villas, the All-Stars, Coronado Springs | Buses; the lodge is closest |
Our guides to the monorail and the Skyliner cover each line.
Which Disney World hotels sleep five or more?
Most deluxe hotels, two moderates and a few special rooms, by the maximum occupancy in our resort records. Caribbean Beach and Port Orleans Riverside sleep five in some rooms, as do the Beach Club, BoardWalk Inn, Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Polynesian and Yacht Club. Art of Animation's family suites and the Fort Wilderness cabins sleep six, and a Fort Wilderness campsite eight.
The cheapest room type at each hotel usually sleeps four, so the five- and six-person rooms cost more than the low rates above. The resort finder filters by party size.
Is it worth staying off site near Disney World?
Sometimes. The Disney Springs hotels, DoubleTree, Drury Plaza, the two Hiltons, Holiday Inn, Renaissance and Wyndham Garden, are on Disney's Early Entry list, and in our records run about $95 to $350 a night. What you give up is the seven-day Lightning Lane window, which Disney keeps for its own hotels and a handful of partners, and the free parking.
The Swan and Dolphin sit between: Early Entry, Extended Evening Hours and the seven-day window, but $40 a day to self-park, Disney says. See our hotel tiers guide for Good Neighbor hotels further out.
When does staying on site matter most?
On a short trip to the busiest parks. The half hour of Early Entry is worth most where the headline rides queue longest; Disney's list for that window includes Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Guardians of the Galaxy and Test Track.
The seven-day Lightning Lane window matters most where passes sell out, which in our record of Disney's prices TRON's did by mid-afternoon on 9 of 11 days in September 2026.
On a long, relaxed trip, or one with a car and a lot of Disney Springs, an official Disney Springs hotel at a fraction of a deluxe hotel's price can be the better deal. Our one-day guides show what an early start buys.
Common questions
- What is the cheapest Disney World hotel?
- Disney's All-Star Sports, from $149 a night in the lowest season on MouseSavers' 2026 rates, with All-Star Music and Movies a few dollars more. A Fort Wilderness campsite starts lower, at $82, if you bring a tent or RV. Rates rise to $305 at the All-Stars in the busiest season.
- Is it worth staying at a Disney resort?
- For a short trip, usually. You get Early Entry every day, Lightning Lane purchases seven days before your stay instead of three, free overnight parking and theme park parking, which otherwise costs $35 a day. On a long trip with a car, an official Disney Springs hotel can be cheaper.
- Which Disney hotels have Extended Evening Hours?
- Disney's Deluxe Resorts and Deluxe Villas, plus the Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve and Shades of Green, on select nights in select parks, Disney says. The Fort Wilderness benefit covers the Disney Vacation Club cabins only. Disney has confirmed it through 2027.
- Do Disney World hotels charge for parking?
- No, for Disney Resort hotel guests. Overnight self-parking is complimentary for guests of Disney Resort hotels, and standard theme park parking is included, Disney's parking page says. Valet at Deluxe hotels and Coronado Springs is $42 a night, and the Swan and Dolphin charge $40 a day.
- Which Disney hotel is closest to Magic Kingdom?
- The Contemporary, a short walk or one monorail stop away, then the Polynesian and Grand Floridian on the resort monorail. Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness reach Magic Kingdom by boat. All are deluxe-priced except the Fort Wilderness campsites.
