November at Walt Disney World averages a high of 77°F and tops 90°F on 0% of days, among the three coolest months. Some rain falls on 41% of days, but only 10% get a quarter inch or more.
Should you go to Walt Disney World in November?
The best weather month of the year and one of the most misjudged. Highs in the seventies, very little rain, both the autumn and Christmas overlays overlapping mid-month, and two genuinely quiet windows hidden between three busy ones.
November rewards precision more than any other month. Get the dates right and it is arguably the best week of the year to visit; get them wrong and you have booked Jersey Week or Thanksgiving.

These are not crowd levels. We do not publish a crowd index, because we do not have the years of wait data an honest one needs. The label describes the strength of the demand drivers named in the last column — school holidays, race weekends, ticketed party nights and rate seasons — every one of which you can check against a calendar. Where a busyness ranking is another publication’s judgment, it is attributed to them by name.
How long the queues actually are in November
On Queue-Times’ crowd index, November now runs at 40.6%, which makes it the 8th busiest of the twelve months for queueing. Before 2020 the same month ran at 68.8% — 28 points higher.

The parks do not agree in November. EPCOT runs at 55% against a four-park average of 40.6% — 14 points busier than the month as a whole. Booking a park day on the headline figure would get this one wrong.
This is queue length, not attendance. Crowd level is Queue-Times’ own index, built primarily from posted wait times, where 0% is the quietest day in their record since 2014 and 100% the busiest. Disney reported attendance up 3% in the quarter to June 2026 while average waits fell — reopened rides, new parades pulling people out of queues, longer hours and less Lightning Lane inventory all shorten a line without removing anyone from the park. A low number here means you will queue less. It does not mean the walkways will be empty.

What’s actually running in November
Three things overlap in November and no other month does this. Food & Wine runs to late in the month — 21 November in 2026. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party begins in the first half — 8 November in 2026, running to 22 December across 25 nights. And the Festival of the Holidays opens the day after Thanksgiving, bringing the Candlelight Processional with it.
Christmas decorations go up across the resorts and Magic Kingdom in the first days of the month, so mid-November gets the full Christmas overlay with none of the December demand.
Who November is right for
Anyone who can travel in the week before Thanksgiving. That window has the year’s best weather, the Christmas decorations already up, both EPCOT festivals in reach, and low crowds — a combination that exists nowhere else on the calendar.
And who should pick another month
Anyone travelling from New Jersey or the surrounding states in the first week without realising why the rates are high, and anyone tied to Thanksgiving week who is sensitive to crowds. Both are peak windows in a month people expect to be quiet.
The mistake people make booking November
Jersey Week. It is not on any national calendar, it does not appear in most crowd-calendar summaries by name, and it turns the first full week of November into one of the busiest of the autumn. The NJEA convention is always the Thursday and Friday of that week — look it up before booking early November.
