Where to eat at Magic Kingdom

There is no league table here, because the verdicts are written, not scored, and a ranking built from prose would be a number we made up. Counter service, cheapest first

  For the classic pineapple cup, yes.
• Sunshine Tree Terrace · Dole Whip, soft-serve and floats · about $6 a head
  Yes, and it is the Dole Whip stop most people walk past.

  For the Blue Coconut Slushy, yes.

  Yes — for the snack and the view.
• Liberty Square Market · Turkey legs, hot dogs, pretzels and fruit · about $11 a head
  For a turkey leg, it is the cheaper of Magic Kingdom's two.
• Main Street Bakery · Starbucks coffee and bakery · about $12 a head
  Only if you want Starbucks specifically — and many people do, which is the problem.
• Prince Eric's Village Market · Turkey legs, pretzels, fruit and slushies · about $12 a head
  For the slushy, yes.
• The Friar's Nook · Tater tot bowls, hot dogs and snacks · about $12 a head
  Yes, for a quick bite — Disney Food Blog, in August 2026, called it "a hidden gem" of a counter.
• Tortuga Tavern · Barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs and chicken · about $12 a head · closed, no reopening date on Disney’s schedule
  Worth it when it is open and you are nearby — not worth a detour.
• Golden Oak Outpost · Fried chicken and beignets · about $13 a head
  Worth it for the beignets if it is open; less so on a hot day.
• The Lunching Pad · Hot dogs and pretzels · about $13 a head
  Fine for a quick hot dog in Tomorrowland; not a place to linger.
• Casey's Corner · Hot dogs and ballpark food · about $16 a head
  Yes, as a quick, cheap-by-Disney-standards lunch with a view.
• Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe · Tex-Mex bowls, burgers and barbecue · about $18 a head
  Yes, mostly for the space.
• Pinocchio Village Haus · Flatbreads and Italian-American · about $18 a head
  For the seat, yes; for the food alone, only just.
• Columbia Harbour House · New England seafood · about $19 a head
  Yes, and the reason is the room as much as the food.
• Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café · Burgers, chicken and salads · about $19 a head
  As food, it is average for the price; as a place to sit down in Tomorrowland, it is hard to beat.

Sit-down, cheapest first

• The Plaza Restaurant · American, casual dining, à la carte · about $23 a head · book a few days ahead
  Yes.
• Tony's Town Square Restaurant · Italian-American, à la carte · about $32 a head · book a few days ahead
  Reasonable, and it is the Magic Kingdom table people most often overlook for the wrong reason.
• The Beak and Barrel · Caribbean small plates and cocktails · about $34 a head · book at 60 days
  For a drink, yes, and it is the only place in Magic Kingdom where that sentence has ever been true.
• Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen · Pan-Asian, South American and African · about $45 a head · book a few days ahead
  Yes, and it is the most underrated restaurant at Walt Disney World.
• Liberty Tree Tavern · American colonial, served family style · about $45 a head · book at 60 days
  For a family, yes, and the arithmetic is unusually easy.
• The Crystal Palace · American buffet · about $64 a head · book at 60 days
  For families with young children, this is the most efficient character meal in Magic Kingdom, and the reason is geography.
• Be Our Guest Restaurant · French-inspired prix fixe · about $72 a head · book at 60 days
  For the room, yes; for the food, not really.
• Cinderella's Royal Table · American prix fixe · about $89 a head · gone in minutes at 60 days
  Only if eating inside the castle is the point.
• The Diamond Horseshoe · Western-themed small plates and cocktails (pop-up) · closed, back 4 October
  Too early to say, and we won't guess.
